  1. Oracle Linux 8 Support - CentOS 8 is dead

    Hello,
    is there any chance to give Oracle Linux to became official supported?
    Since the bad news about CentOS 8 EoL on 31.December 2021.
    The best option now is Oracle Linux (100% binary compatible OS)

    Best Regards

    By the end of 2022 the market share of Oracle Linux was only half of the next up competitor Alma and less than 1/10 of RHEL, Rocky and Alma combined. For that reason, we'd love to hear from you why you believe that Oracle Linux will be the next big player despite the low market share.

    For example do you see specific technical reasons why Oracle Linux should be preferred over development for the much more popular platforms? E.g. ARM support and do you actually need it? Are there other aspects that can give good reasons to consider this OS over others?

    cronjobs can easily be managed by Linux commands already. They may not be sourced from Plesk, but all tools already exist on the operating system. As cronjobs are read by Plesk from disk, manipulating the corresponding files on disk will set everything you wish. Individual cron files are stored in /var/spool/cron and can be text-edited. You can add files, edit files, append files and delete files using Linux commands. You can also stream-edit files (e.g. insert a commend tag before a line with sed) and also create Linux control while-loops to apply changes to filtered files. Cron can also be controlled directly (https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/crontab.1.html).

    Please let us know in details what you are missing or please provide an example how you would like Plesk to work with cron instead.

  3. An option to hide the DNSSEC menu for customers

    Please implement an option in Plesk to hide the DNSSEC menu for customers.

    Currently, it's only possible to hide the DNS management menu completely. It will be useful if there's an option to hide the DNSSEC button only, while the other DNS settings could still be managed by the customer.

  5. Bringing an option to open or close encrypted directories in the password-protected directories section.

    Bringing an option to open or close encrypted directories in the domain name directory encryption section. This way, you won't have to delete the password to open the directory.

  6. Add 'Show ip log' to Fail2Ban or at least the service which last triggered the ban

    When an address is banned by Fail2Ban, Plesk panel only shows as info somthing like this:

    [recidive]
    enabled = true
    filter = recidive
    action = iptables-allports[name=recidive]
    logpath = /var/log/fail2ban.log
    maxretry = 5

    ? could be possible to add another line like:

    2024-05-03 23:22:27,997 fail2ban.actions [1120]: NOTICE [plesk-dovecot] Ban 82.61.142.122

    ? or a button to view all /var/log/fail2ban.log rows which mention the banned IP (82.61.142.122 in this case)

    that will avoid the need to open a shell and using grep on the log files.

  7. Add an ability to remove ?dom_name= from the appended version of the url in custom buttons

    I have added a custom button for clients to check domain propogation at https://www.whatsmydns.net.
    I have noticed there are a few options to add extra parameters on the custom button page.
    when visiting whatsmydns I noticed the url is appended like https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/?dom_name=ywrcloud.uk once a search is performed. I am looking to change the url redirection to https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/?dom_name=ywrcloud.uk but didnt find any such option in Plesk to change the url redirection to custom settings i.e. to remove ?dom_name= from the appended version. Will be great to have such option to change that in Plesk

    Thank you for your suggestion. However to consider this request we need a better understanding of the exact scope of the suggestion. Who would a different URL paten benefit you and other users when creating a custom button.

    Also note that the URL you suggested is similar to the URL created when using a custom button. Would that be by accident?

  8. Create and manage sites

    The authorization available for creating users is the "Create and manage sites" authorization

    "1-Create and manage the main site",

    "2-Create and manage Subsites"

    "3-Delete the sites"

    there are 3 authorization divisions.

    i would like to allocate critical tasks to our plesk panel users.

    Users an already create, edit, delete sites according to their specific role. Have you seen the role management in the "Users" menu of the subscription? Please describe in more detail what exactly you need to add to the feature that already exists and please provide a business case why this can make Plesk a better product.

  10. Mail service availability for Wildcard subdomains

    It would be helpful if mail service of Plesk could be provided for wildcard subdomains. Especially in situations involving catch all mail forwarding.
