Customer email notification when mailbox quota exceeded
It would be a very useful feature to have an email automatically injected to a customers mailbox when their quota is close to the limit and another when the mailbox quota has been exceeded with advice (customisable) on how to resolve the problem.
Sometimes clients are unaware/forget their quota and if accessing via outlook/smartphone etc they are not aware of the limit being reached. This can result in several days without emails or emails being rejected with a "mailbox full" autoresponder. Ironically this means anyone sending emails to the client are aware the mailbox is full but the client is…

Sogo Webmail
Add Sogo as a webmail alternative in Plesk.
Sogo share your calendars, address books and mails in your community with a completely free and open source solution
Sogo is a great webmail solution and provides native Microsoft ActiveSync support. Mobile devices such as Apple iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry 10 can fully synchronize emails, contacts, events and tasks with SOGo.
452 votesThe new SOGo Webmail extension is available, it can be installed Plesk Obsidian 18.0.48+. We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. Delete mail after forwarding
I would like to use an E-Mail address as an outgoing E-Mail address with no postbox behind it. All E-Mails should be forwarded to another E-Mail address.
Currently you can set up forwarding but if you check "Use postbox" than the mails will be kept on the server although they have been forwarded. If you uncheck it, it is impossible to send emails from that address. So please add at least an option to delete mails after forwarding them.
318 votesIn Plesk 18.0.37 added the option to automatically remove emails forwarded from a mailbox in Plesk. The feature is disabled by default. To enable it, go to “Mail”, click the desired mailbox, open the “Forwarding” tab and select the “Do not deliver copies of forwarded emails to the Plesk mailbox” checkbox.
If you need this feature for Plesk for Windows, please vote here: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549/suggestions/44158872

Email import tool
It would be a great idea to be able to import mail for individual email accounts via POP3 from other servers.
This would be great for customers migrating to you so that they can keep all their email.
Would just need fields such as:
-Hostname
-Username
-Password
-Port
-Encryption314 votesImplemented as the functionality of Site Import 1.2.0 https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/onyx/change-log/#17811-mu20180516
Added the ability to import the content of mailboxes hosted on third-party servers with the IMAP access into mailboxes hosted on a Plesk server. Now users can import emails from Gmail or Yahoo! Mail mailboxes and from mailboxes managed by control panels (for example, Plesk or cPanel). All folders (including custom folders) and emails contained in them are imported. The “read” or “unread” status of imported emails is preserved.

Search mail logs from Gui
We have many support requests from our customers (non technical) to search logs and find if a message was sucessfull delivered and consume much from our support.
If the customer could search logs from a specific sender ou destination, filtering by date, will be great for us.
307 votesWe released the ‘Mail Log Browser’ extension
https://ext.plesk.com/packages/942273dc-a99b-4744-9e8f-c4a4b047c63d-log-browser
This extension allows you to check the statuses of all emails sent to and from your server by reviewing maillog and filtering by date, source, or any string pattern; also it’s possible to check mail logs in real-time (‘tail -fn0’ analog).
It’s available for Plesk Administrators and supports Postfix and Qmail mail servers.

Set a senders email address for Plesk notifications
I am sending mails from an external server, my Plesk Servers do not even have mail setup. Plesk offers the option to send notification mails (like backup errors,...) using an external SMTP server, but all mails get sent using the mail address
root@servername.domain.tldMy SMTP server does not have this mail address or even domain setup. I would like to set a custom email address for Plesk to send mails from in order to not have to set up a domain and mail address for every Plesk server.
194 votesThis feature has been added to Plesk version 18.0.45. It can be set in the panel.ini file.

Add SRS - Sender Rewriting Scheme to Linux
SRS is available in Windows on external mail servers, but it isn't available in any mail server in Linux. More and more domains have SPF and more and more mail servers reject e-mails that don't pass SPF check.
So please add support for SRS in Linux.

Have an option to deliver email addressed to VERP-style email addresses.
Postfix already has the option, but it doesn't seem to be supported on Plesk.
I want to use VERP so I can automatically process bounce messages with a script. I send out bulk email with a return-path like bounces+uid-john=example.com@ourdomain.com and I want the bounces to be delivered to bounces@ourdomain.com
Postfix has the configuration parameter recipientdelimiter. If I set that in /etc/postfix/main.cf, the server accepts the email and passes it to pleskvirtual. But then it is silently discarded instead of being delivered to the bounces mailbox.
The only way I see with the current set up to deliver…

Enable sending e-mails to same domain on external server even if Mail service is enabled for a domain
As more and more customers move to G Suite and Office 365, there is a need to send authenticated emails from local SMTP to external server that handles same domain.
Lets say example.com has a WordPress installation that sends notifications, order confirmations, form confirmations, ... to avoid spam and meet best practices, I will create local e-mail account mail@example.com.
If domain has G Suite hosting info@example.com, emails from mail@example.com will not be delivered, because of Plesk's setup.
As long as mail is enabled locally, one will get error: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table; even…
57 votesSince early 2023 a third option between "Enabled" and "Not configured" for the "Mail Settings" in a domain was added: "Disabled for incoming mail". This lets you send emails from your domain through sendmail with authentication and also lets you send mails through the PHP mail() function, but it does not deliver these mails locally. This solves the issue where mail domains are located elsewhere while a website generates emails from forms or other application scenarios.
We'll be happy to read your comments if you have additional requirements.

Display DKIM Public Key in the Web Interface
Currently the only way to get the DKIM key is to decode the private key from the shell when using an external DNS service, however it would be nice if the public key is just being displayed in the web interface so the user can see it and add it to the external DNS.
56 votesStarting from Plesk Obsidian 18.0.35 DKIM public key is shown in the pop-up window on the Mail Settings page of the particular domain.

custom dkim selector name
It's a shame you are obliged to have a DKIM selector (key) name of 'default', and there is no ability to rotate keys as once you update the 'dafault' key will change value, meaning messages sent under the prior key, also called 'default', will fail.
GMail offers a nice option where you specify the selector name and so can rotate keys nicely. O365 has a more basis scheme were keys have to be called selevtor1 and selector2 (from memory), flip-flopping between the two. Not elegant.
Gmail is the way to go...

- What would you like your…45 votesSince Plesk 18.0.56, published October 10th, 2023, It is possible to change the default DKIM selector to a custom one for a single domain or all new domains hosted on the server.
You specify a custom DKIM selector for a domain in the domain’s mail settings. To specify a custom DKIM selector for all new domains, add lines of the following pattern to the panel.ini file:
[mail]
dkimDefaultSelector = newselector

Redirect from HTTP to HTTPS for secured webmails
You should place a redirect from http://webmail.domain.tld to https. Even the option "Hosting Settings > Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS" won't redirect the webmail; in any case these should be two separate options as the website may not support HTTPS yet.
41 votesHi!
The functionality is now available:
1. Linux: in the SSL It! Plesk Extension: https://ext.plesk.com/packages/3c4117f6-c05c-4d3b-9173-60f10096a9c4-sslit
2. Windows: in Plesk Obsidian (by default)How to find it in SSL It! Extension:
1. install SSL It! Extension (it’s available for Plesk 17.8+)
2. go to > SSL/TLS Certificates
3. if there is no SSL Certificate installed on the domain – issue one (using, for example, free Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate)
4. if an SSL Certificate is installed on the domain, there is a switcher “HTTP→HTTPS redirect”, this switcher has an option “Webmail”, turn it on.
5. Voila! We would appreciate hearing your feedback on the implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

Roundcube mobile/tablet skin default
It seems difficult to manually install a mobile skin on Roundcube, and if it should succeed the plesk would overwrite the config made on updates. The default skin provided with plesk should support mobile devices, as this is an important feature nowadays.
36 votesThe new Roundcube 1.4.x was added in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.26 (https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/#plesk-18026 ). Released with Roundcube version 1.4.0, Elastic is Roundcube's first official responsive skin. It has support for desktops, tablets and phones. Since Plesk Obsidian 18.0.47, Plesk Control Panel contains Roundcube 1.6.0.
