  1. Supply versions of Apache newer than provided by OS vendors

    Currently, Plesk supports Apache from the Linux vendor and does not provide its own Apache build. For example, CentOS 6 has Apache 2.2 by default.

    Based on the article comment it would be good to have more recent Apache version in use: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213901685?page=1#comment_360001830960

    Apache 2.4.6 was released in 2013 (!) in the meantime the latest version is Apache 2.4.46 (august 2020).
    I understand Plesk cannot update Apache every time to a newer version, however still running 2.4.6 is a bit absurd.

    Furthermore there are quite a few CVE fixes in the newer versions along with several new performance tweaks /…

    "Nginx Plus" - a buzz word for a paid service primarily aimed at load balancing behind an Nginx driven front-end? This service seems to be mainly relevant for single-domain or -app configurations that distribute transactions over a server cluster, but deliver a site to the user as if it came from a single server.

    We'd love to develop an understanding what this feature request is truly about and how Plesk could best support it. Where in an Nginx Plus scenario is Plesk installed and what would you like to do with it? It seems that in such a scenario Plesk would be a graphical user interface for the Nginx Plus paid service, but not a webspace control panel. So it would have to be a completely different product. Let us know how you think about it, please.

    We'd also love to hear from you how many Nginx Plus installations you…

  3. To remove the HTML body of nginx 301 302 redirects

    When Nginx returns a 301 or a 302 redirect, it also returns a small useless HTML body.

    <html>
    <head><title>301 Moved Permanently</title></head>
    <body>
    <center><h1>301 Moved Permanently</h1></center>
    <hr><center>nginx</center>
    </body>
    </html>

    You can see this body when you perform a "curl talk.plesk.com" for instance. However today, many major domains don't return a HTML body, it is the case of facebook.com, twitter.com, youtube.com and www.plesk.com .
    Funny enough, when i do a "curl www.plesk.com" it returns no html body. It means that someone at plesk remove this html body. But in plesk onyx it will always return the default html body that I…

  4. Ability to enable the detailed error messages in IIS

    Currently, this can be enabled in IIS > example.com > Error pages > Edit feature settings

    or Domains > example.com > File Manager and adjusting the web.config file manually

    The native functionality to enable/disable detailed errors in Domains > example.com > IIS Settings will be easier for customer. Without involving server administrator or adjusting web.config manually.

  7. Add ability to manage TLS version per domain basis

    For now it is possible to manage specific TLS version and cipher suite only on server level, meaning that particular TLS versopm will be applicable for all domains at once. It would be nice if Plesk introduces the ability to manage TLS version per domain basis, which would add more flexibility for Plesk administrators.

  9. Compile Nginx with NJS module

    It would be great that you'd provide Nginx with the module ngxhttpjs_module already compiled.

    We have some websites using NJS scripting language and we cannot running them on Plesk without modifying the code:
    http://nginx.org/en/docs/http/ngx_http_js_module.html
    http://nginx.org/en/docs/njs/install.html

  10. Implement the http_realip_module in the sw-cp-server

    Compile sw-cp-server with httprealipmodule.
    It is useful when Plesk itself is behind a proxy.

    Example use-case: redirect clients from WHMCS to Plesk when Plesk is protected by CloudFlare

  11. Enabling anonymous Git read access for a repository

    A developer which has pushed his code to his git repository in plesk (through Local repository on your workstation funcion) is only accesible through authentication. That's OK.

    The developer is ready to make his code publicly available.
    Unfortunately that is not possible but it would be a nice feature to have.

    Maybe not to use the same private repository, but likely in a way to clone it and make it anonymous available only with read acces through http(s) , ex. https://<url>/example.git

    We are not sure what is meant. At the moment you can set a certificate for the hostname and you can set a certificate for a subdomain. It is also possible to create a subscription that has the same domain name like the hostname, and that subscription can have subdomains all protected by a certificate. It is also possible to have a wildcard certificate for the subscription domain.

    Could you please describe in detail what you would like to equip with an SSL certificate and how this is linked to encrypted mail connections as stated in the one existing comment?

  14. Nginx restart interval functionality

    An Nginx restart interval should be helpful for situations when users use API calls to modify domain's PHP settings. This results in multiple nginx reloads:

    /var/log/plesk/rc_actions:

    INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:00 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
    INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:44 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
    INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:59 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
    INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:28:06 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
    INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:29:11 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload

    A similar functionality exists for apache in Tools & Settings > Apache web server > Restart interval.

  15. Exclude internal requests from the Traffic statistics

    Plesk seems to add up the request response size,
    including those of its own extenal IP address.
    We would like to disable this behaviour or filter out this info, because
    this is not the actual traffic.

    We have customers that have a lot of internal requests because of some
    caching module where about 50% of the total traffic is from its own IP.

  17. Manage notification during website copying

    Currently, when the website is copied a notification is sent to subscription owner of the target website.
    It would be good to add functionality to disable such notifications or change the recipient mail address.

  19. Add new site or modify existing site without Apache restart /graceful restart

    For example, Odin uses a system where all the website information is stored inside a NoSQL database, and apache just reads this data with a special module:

    http://www.odin.com/products/automation/services-and-applications/shared-hosting-next-generation/

    This feature has not gotten many votes during the past five years. Technically, a graceful restart of Apache is unnoticeable for the user as not service interruption occurs. Further, Apaches model loads all configuration data into memory upon start or reload. The Odin link provided in the comments does not lead to a more details explanation of the feature request. And finally, in the Nginx/Apache combination with an increasing number of users considering Nginx-only hosting a change in the Apache worker process won't be sufficient.

    Please provide a sound explanation why a graceful restart of web servers is insufficient for adding or modifying web server configuration.

  20. On removal of a subscription or domain remove symlink to vhost config first, then do the rest

    We sometimes set an immutable bit on .htaccess so the resellers can`t remove it.

    As the reseller may remove the subscription it gives an apache error as the system user is removed but the vhost is not.

    In my opinion, this removal flow should do the following:
    - Remove the symlink to the vhost config
    - Remove the system user
    - Remove the vhost directory (if this fails, send an email with the reason why rm failed, instead of the reason httpd cannot restart)

    By first removing the symlink to the config, whatever happens during the deletion of the vhost…
