Support for HTTP/2 on apache (without using nginx as proxy)
Hi,
It seems some Plesk users would like to have support for HTTP/2 on apache directly (without using nginx as a proxy).
We do not clearly understand cases when it is required. Why using nginx as a proxy in front of the Apache is not an option? Could you please let us know how this feature should work in terms of workflow, in your opinion? We welcome any feedback and would be happy to receive examples to investigate the question in more detail.4 votesThank you for your idea. Could you tell us which scenarios you want to enable with this functionality?

Add customer number to frontend
There already is an API field for the customer number. Why can't I set this through the UI?
Would be critical for us to be able to automate billing.1 voteThank you for your suggestion. In order to get better understanding, could you please confirm what exactly are you referring to by "number", e.g. the customer ID, the guid, number of customers, phone number, or something else. Thank you in advance.

MIgration of Backups to Cheaper Alternatives
While you provide the ability to backup to different locations, whether on local disk, FTP, SMB share, or cloud you do not provide an ability to migrate backups through the tiers. First off local disk is the most expensive and you should only keep a small subset of backups. After that there should be an ability to migrate those backups to cheaper alternatives, like S3 storage, while continuing to preserve the metadata.
1 voteThank you for your input. The is already an option to configure backups with S3 storage through the Amazon S3 Backup extension:
As for the "ability to migrate backups through the tiers", unfortunately, I was not able to get a clear understanding on it. Hence, could you please provide more details and examples?
Thank you in advance.

Nginx-only hostings (without Apache component installed on Plesk)
Hi,
It seems some Plesk users would like to have the ability to install Plesk without the Apache component (apache-free, nginx-only setup).
We do not clearly understand cases when it is required. Why using "Nginx-Only Hosting" (https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/72320/#nginx-only-hosting) on a per-website base is not an option (which also provides more flexibility)? Could you please let us know how this feature should work in terms of workflow, in your opinion? We welcome any feedback and would be happy to receive examples to investigate the question in more detail.2 votesThank you for your idea. Could you tell us which scenarios you want to enable with this functionality?

An option to hide the DNSSEC menu for customers
Please implement an option in Plesk to hide the DNSSEC menu for customers.
Currently, it's only possible to hide the DNS management menu completely. It will be useful if there's an option to hide the DNSSEC button only, while the other DNS settings could still be managed by the customer.
3 votesThank you for your idea. Could you please describe what exactly would be useful about hiding the DNSSEC option? What is the business case where this is needed and how does it improve the user<->system interaction?

Bringing an option to open or close encrypted directories in the password-protected directories section.
Bringing an option to open or close encrypted directories in the domain name directory encryption section. This way, you won't have to delete the password to open the directory.
2 votesIt yet needs to be explained what opening or closing of encrypted (probably password-protected?) directories should do. If they ought not be password-protected, why not simply remove password-protection?

Ability to automatically delete a mail after being forwarded using the XML API
Give to the XML API in the node forwarding, an option to automatically delete a mail after being forwarded.
1 voteForwarded emails (by a forwarding configuration in the mail server) are not stored. Could you please describe the start situation from where you forward an email? Is it truly mail forwarding or is it sending an email to a recipient that resides in the mailbox?

Improve Plesk Country Firewall Usability
Plesk Country Firewall
1) Add a check for duplicate country abbreviations on save.
2) (x) add checkbox to sort alphabetically
3) Add a drop down to select the country. Currently you have to look up the country 2 digit code. So add a drop down to select country then add the 2 digit abbreviation.1 voteMost ISO codes of rogue nations are well known. We think that changes to geo IP blocking are rarely needed. To keep development costs reasonably low, perfect comfort for rarely used features is not a priority. In a server's lifetime it may occur twice that this is changed, so we wonder how often this feature is used in your daily routine that the added comfort is required? Please comment how you determine the countries to be blocked and why you change countries often so that we understand your routine better and can provide a better product while trying to keep license prices low.

Restricted mode: select subdomains to lock for deletion
Create opportunity to select subdomains that are locked for deletion by additional admin user
1 voteIs this about a four-eyes or six-eyes feature? Like one admin first needs to "prepare" domains or subdomains for deletion, then another admin can delete them? Could you please mention some details on the business case and why such a function would help users to work more efficiently with their server?

Managing crontab via CLI
It would be very conenient to be able to manage the subscriptions' scheduled tasks via CLI.
6 votescronjobs can easily be managed by Linux commands already. They may not be sourced from Plesk, but all tools already exist on the operating system. As cronjobs are read by Plesk from disk, manipulating the corresponding files on disk will set everything you wish. Individual cron files are stored in /var/spool/cron and can be text-edited. You can add files, edit files, append files and delete files using Linux commands. You can also stream-edit files (e.g. insert a commend tag before a line with sed) and also create Linux control while-loops to apply changes to filtered files. Cron can also be controlled directly (https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/crontab.1.html).
Please let us know in details what you are missing or please provide an example how you would like Plesk to work with cron instead.

Adding Let's Encrypt autorenew for ServerAlias in the subdomains (Example: servername.it alias with cert for subdomain.servicename.it)
Need to adding the certificates with Let's Encrypt for the domain names added as serveralias in the apache directives on subdomains, with autorenew system.
3 votesWe are not sure what is meant. At the moment you can set a certificate for the hostname and you can set a certificate for a subdomain. It is also possible to create a subscription that has the same domain name like the hostname, and that subscription can have subdomains all protected by a certificate. It is also possible to have a wildcard certificate for the subscription domain.
Could you please describe in detail what you would like to equip with an SSL certificate and how this is linked to encrypted mail connections as stated in the one existing comment?

The ability to clone WordPress multisite
WordPress Toolkit Clone feature also available for in supports WordPress multisite.
5 votesIn WP Multisite installations you have one single WP controlling many different websites and domains. "Cloning" a multisite installation seems to be a challenge, because when you clone a site, you need to mention a target where to clone the site to (a new URL, a new subdomain). As a multisite installation has many URLs, it seems impossible to clone these to one single domain. It will be unclear which domain is actually cloned or how to map source to target.
But as always, we're open for ideas and would love to hear more details from you how you imagine the workflow. Please describe in your comments what you expect to happen when you clone a multisite installation, e.g. how you'd want to map source to target(s). Would you for example want to see a dialog where you can enter new domains and subdomains for each existing URL in the…

Add support SFTP and FTPS protocol for migration
We are only able to use a FTP connection to migrate a website. It would be a nice add to be able to use SFTP and FTPS to connect to the old server,
9 votesPlesk Migrator uses an SSH based connection, which is close to SFTP, but a technologically advanced solution. Could you please explain where you are seeking SFTP and FTPS and why you believe that this is better than the current Plesk Migrator solution?
