  1. Support of JMAP

"JMAP is intended to be a new standard for email clients to connect to mail stores. It therefore intends to primarily replace IMAP + SMTP submission. It is also designed to be more generic such that it can be extended with contacts, calendars in the future (replacing CardDAV/CalDAV)." (http://jmap.io/)

Sounds good to have it ASAP it is released.

3 years after its invention support of JMAP is limited to "experimental" support in a rare number of software products. As Plesk does not provide mail server software themselves, but merely is a comfortable user interface to such software, JMAP will not become a reality in Plesk itself, but maybe in Postfix, QMail, Dovecot or a then new mail daemon application on servers some day in the future. In that case we'll be happy to review this topic again. But for now, it is just nothing that is close to becoming a reality on the web, neither are there suitable server software packages for which a user interface could be developed. For these reasons we must decline this request.

  2. Combine multiple 301 redirects

I recently updated to Onyx 17.5.3.

In the hosting settings for each domain i can enable a 301 redirect to HTTPS and i can set a 301 redirect for the preferred domain.

Great features, but the SEO boys are complaining... Apperently Google does not like multiple redirects.

    Please combine multiple 301 redirects.

  3. Integrate ***** DNS extension with cPanel dnsonly

cPanel uses Bind by default, same as Plesk, and ***** DNS manager extension already allows working with remote Bind installations.

It would be great if the extension gets improved to be able to synchronize changes to a cPanel dnsonly servers.

This is the main feature that could help cPanel clients like ourselves, test and enjoy the features Plesk Onyx provides, without having to consider creating a new set of DNS servers.

    Thank you for your input!
Unfortunately, we have to close your request, because over the years it has not become quite popular for further implementation.

  4. Backup-Manager: Show planned backups schedule

Short info in website specific backup manager, if there are scheduled backups planned, and if so then show the schedule. Additional a overview table in server wide backup manager with all schedule backups of each website, e.g.:
    domain | daily/weekly/monthly | weekday/date | time | next schedule date | option to edit

At the moment you can set scheduled backups and just get a short message, that is is planned, but you can't find the info anywhere anymore. So if I don't remember, I maybe set another scheduled backup and I've no idea, if the first one is reset by…

  5. Add Siberian CMS in the list of the installable applications

Add this application in the list of available applications. It would be easier for us to install it, and create mobile applications in addition to websites.

  6. Optimise web forwarding config when using nginx + Apache

When using nginx as a reverse proxy to apache, it seems wasteful for a web forwarding domain to be configured within both http servers.

    For example;
configure domaina.com to forward to http://domainb.com
You'll see a nginx virtualhost is created to reverse proxy domaina.com to apache. Apache is then configured to return the Location header to domainb.com.

Why not do it completely within nginx and save a tiny bit more memory on Apache's side?

  7. Add server IP to fail2back Trusted IP by default

We recently had an odd situation where some times we would get 502 Bad Gateway errors on nginx. Plesk support diagnosed the issue and discovered that fail2ban was adding the server's IP address to the ban list and blocking itself for 10 mins at a time. It would be good measure to automatically add all of the servers' IP addresses to the Trusted IP section of the fail2ban in Plesk by default. It currently only adds 127.0.0.1 in the Trusted IP by default in Plesk.

  8. Don't show version on the login mask.

I recommend to don't show any information about the version of Plesk or other software before the user logged in.

This feature request has only received very few votes over the course of 7 years. Also, there is no urgent technical requirement for it as the previous statement by Plesk mentioned:

    -----

You wouldn't need to worry too much on version exposure: 1) should there be any vulnerability discovered, we will fix it for each  and every supported version. Just stay up2date 2) hiding version gives only false sense of security - attacker can  still apply all known vulnerabilities disregarding your actual version. There were just few vulnerabilities about Plesk and it is easy to run them all (though it won't give an impact as all of them are addressed already). It is even easier than capturing a version from a file.  If you remain heavily concerned, we can recommend applying Two-Factor authentication via Clef or Google Auth extensions at http://ext.plesk.com or maybe restricting Plesk control panel access to certain…

  9. Disk health monitoring should check inodes also

I recently had a Virtuozzo container crash completely because I wasn't notified of the Inodes was exchausted, trouble is that on platforms like these there are tighter restrictions on the number of files you are allowed to create.

It should show up on the same level as the regular disk usage monitoring.

  10. Backup: limit backup operation by time period

Server-wide setup to avoid users/customers to do backups on some time intervals. avoiding cpu usage on backups on premium time, leaving more resources for webserver related processes.

  12. set default service plan when creating a new subscription

Allow me to set the default "Service plan" when creating a new Subscription.

It currently defaults to "Default Domain" and I would prefer it be "Unlimited"

Often customer forget to select unlimited and when creating new Subscriptions.

  14. Restoring the default values for DNS + DomainKey

When you make a restore of the default values for the DNS for a domain, it is verry annoying that some special DNS records are erased in the same time. Exemple the code for DOmainKey that need to go back in the mail setting, disable and re-enable this fonction at each time.

  15. Set higher timeout for the Web Admin in Plesk Panel for Windows

The webadmin is an aspx application and it's default timeout is often 2-3 minutes, because session state for that app is InProc (default) and so this is subject to the app recycling pool of IIS (often less than 5 minutes). The problem is especially relevant on servers with a low load (when no users are clicking anything for some time, processes are killed and so the session state, causing a frequent session expiration).

It should be enough to set Web.config file for the webadmin aspx application to store session state in a SQL server custom db

  18. Show in dashboard list of domains which subscription expires into the next days

We often forget the domains which expires subscription into the next days. Plesk send emails many days before, but will be good into the homepage, to be able the admin to see the subscriptions all together which ends into the next days. Admin will be able from Plesk settings to set the number of days he want.

  20. Display on the domain list when a domain does not resolve to the server

Sometimes clients change their DNS to point to new hosting providers without informing us and sometimes the accounts department don't let us know when a service has been cancelled. Showing in the panel when a domain does not resolve to the ip it was set up on would be helpful in these circumstances.
