PHP5 support is over, HHVM are happy about the direction of development of PHP7.x and do not plan to do anything regarding support for PHP7.x
In addition, many performance tests show that PHP7.x not inferior to HHVM.
Therefore, we consider it inappropriate to support of HHVM.
    Thanks.

  3. PHP ImageMagick webp support

The version of ImageMagick provided with Plesk packages does not have support for webp enabled by default. Almost all browsers now support this format.
    https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/
    https://imagemagick.org/

GD is supported since Plesk 18.0.27

  4. integrate Blackfire

Blackfire (https://blackfire.io) is a PHP performance management & monitoring solution - currently to install with Plesk requires adding specific PHP directives for each domain, and setting up with different PHP versions as well. Would be nice if this could all be integrated in front-end to enable it per domain simply.

It appears that the platform requested for integration has not yet reached the popularity required for integrating it into the Plesk product. For that reason we must decline the request. However, you can suggest to Blackfire that they develop a Plesk extension using the free Plesk API so that their services integrate with Plesk.

  6. Make PHP-PM available for usage with Nginx and Apache

Currently we have the choice of fastCGI with Apache or fastCGI or FPM with nginx when setting up a PHP site.

These are great but a newer alternative is now out, PHP-PM, which could give a lot of sites a very nice performance boost.

It would be great if we could get this added as an extra option on Plesk when setting up PHP sites.

  7. Add Sybase module to Plesk PHP

Sybase module requires PHP recompilation, which is not possible in case of Plesk PHP: http://php.net/manual/en/sybase.installation.php
The only viable alternative is to install OS-provided PHP, however, it is usually severely outdated.

This request has only received a very small number of votes. It did not become popular. We must decline it. For communicating with Sybase, some PECL modules are available for PHP. You can install PECL modules by using the PECL installer from the PHP version maintenance page in Plesk.

  8. Add/install a new php version with CLI Windows

Possibility to add/install a new PHP Handler version using the CLI with Windows as OS.

As example the article from the linux:

To register a PHP handler for PHP of version 5.4, installed to /usr/bin/php-cgi as a FastCGI binary, using the php.ini located in /opt/plesk/php/5.4/etc/php.ini and to specify the path to the PHP CLI binary as /usr/bin/php :

  9. Allow to switch allow_url_include parameter by .user.ini.

I found the similar KB here
    https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213954385-Not-possible-to-set-allow-url-fopen-parameter-in-Plesk-12-5
but "allowuriinclude" this time. I think this directive is not good to enable globally, so I tried to set it by .user.ini base but the parameter stayed unchanged.

With only 3 votes in 5 years this request has not become popular enough to be included in future updates. Instead, a very easy option is already available today: Simply add the required setting into the "Additional PHP Directives" section on the PHP configuration page of a domain.

  10. PHP 5.6 support for Ubuntu 18.04

Please add PHP 5.6 to Ubuntu 18.04. There are still sites that need to migrate to newer versions of CMS while the old site supports only PHP 5.4 to 5.6.
It makes it much simpler to run old and new CMS versions parallel on one server to migrate.

We use not modified PHP versions from PHP developers. The problem here in that compiling PHP 5.x on modern OS version is impossible duу to some important libraries incompatibility. So, it is OS and PHP related question but not Plesk. If OS vendors will support PHP 5.x in their latest OSes, we will add their support too.

  11. Include mhash extension in Plesk PHP Versions

mhash module is needed fro NTLM authentication for current servers nowadays, like corporate MS Exchange servers. PHP just can't do SMTP AUTH without it, we need mhash

  12. add option to have dedicated php instance on a domain alias

I have noticed that on main domains and subdomains this is a option but when you add a domain alias this option does not seem to be there.

I would think this would be something useful to have especially if you are like us and have multiple domain alias pointing to one main site for files but wanting separate domains under one account like for us it is multiple ecommerce websites.

As an alias is only a pseudonym for a domain, it cannot have a separate PHP instance. For that reason we must decline this request.

Instead, to have a dedicated PHP FPM handlers for additional domains that are using the same website directories and files, you need to add these domains as separate domains but with the same document root directory in "Web Hosting Settings".

  15. Compile PHP 7.4 with Argon2

Argon2 is default for TYPO3 since the release of TYPO3 Core version 9: https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/master/en-us/ApiOverview/PasswordHashing/Index.html.

It won the password hashing competition and is the recommended hashing algorithm.

It must be enabled by re-compiling PHP 7.4 with --with-password-argon2[=DIR] .

  18. Allow changelog.php

I'm managing my website on a host using Plesk and it seems that any php script named "changelog.php" causes a HTTP 403 error, regardless of the folder it is placed in. Could this please be changed, as I absolutely need this script to be accessible? Thanks in advance for your response.

To solve your issue, please contact your hosting provider (the company that hosts your website) and request support from them directly. We are the authors of the software you and your hosting provider are using, and unfortunately, we cannot help with this particular request because we do not host your website. We are closing your request as it doesn’t include any software improvement proposal.

  19. Forbid domains to use a PHP version already disabled

When a PHP version is disabled, the subscription that already had that PHP version selected can still use that version while no other is selected. Even in the PHP settings in Plesk is possible see the old version, PHP info still working and displaying the disabled PHP version as well.

Its required a feature to avoid that

  20. Access a domain on different ports each one with different execution times

Is it possible to access the same website with different PHP execution times on different ports? The idea behind this is to have both example.com and example.com:8111. The first one is a website where users access and configuration for php execution times are average/low. On the other hand the second one would enable other users to access the same site with high execution times for PHP to customize the website (for example importing web stores).
