Ability To Install MariaDB Upgrade from RedHat Collections
Onyx allows upgrading the default MariaDB post install by installing the MariaDB.org Repo. It does not allow installing suported versions from licensed and supported Red Hat Collections. Please provide a way to do this as the only supported method is not suitable for mission crtical databases.
From MariaDB:
ll use of the binaries from mariadb.org is at your own risk as stated in the GPLv2. While we do our best to make the world’s best database software, the MariaDB Foundation does not provide any guarantees and cannot be hold liable for any issues you may encounter.
Supported and certified binaries available from commercial vendors
There multiple MariaDB vendors that provide different kinds of guarantees based on the support contract you purchase from them. If you are a customer of any of the MariaDB support providers, please use the certified binaries they have provided you.
If you have a Red Hat or SUSE subscription and you install the MariaDB binaries from your Linux distribution vendor, then your current contract may also cover MariaDB.
If you run a mission critical database, please make sure you have some kind of support relationship with any of the MariaDB support providers.

Thank you for your input!
Unfortunately, we have to close your request, because over the years it has not become quite popular for further implementation.

The files that could be used to update the default installed RHEL7 mariadb are in this enabled repo. The problem is that yum install does not upgrade the default mariadb using the enabled rh-mariadb101. I tried installing it first and even uninstalling the default and reinstalling rh-mariadb after the default plesk install, but neither worked, and in some cases resulted in two instances of mariadb being installed. I did read that plesk installer used to have an option to use "Different MySQL versions" and utilize a DB already installed. This would be an option if it could be offered again.:
