Keep backups if a customer account is deleted (optional)
The feature "Deleting a customer account now results in all backups belonging to that account being deleted as well" was implemented since Plesk Onyx 17.0.15
Add an opportunity to choose will the customer's backups be removed together with the customer or not

We have reviewed this request once again and still think, it makes no difference to keep backups of a "deleted" account compared to just keeping the account including the backups as "disabled". In both cases the result is the same: Data are kept and in case they are needed they can be restored. Actually the current situation is even better, because there you don't need to have a backup that has been created as a "backup" (e.g. in Backup manager), but you have the account content as long as you need it.
Your argument here was that in some cases law requires to keep backups of customer data. But what do you do if the customer did not create a "backup", e.g. with Backup Manager? Instead with simply disabling an account and deleting it later you always fulfill the requirement to have a "backup" of the customer's data. We believe that you already have suitable methods available to fulfill the requirements.
This request has been on and off since 5 years, and despite consideration and discussion it only got 7 votes. For that reason we must now decline it.

"server-wide backup" as in snapshots?

I really need a fix for this.
It is unacceptable that this deletes backups,
backup are BACKUPS and should not be delete no mater what users/resellers do en there interface!
I have multiple counts of accidental deletion and no way to restore it!
Also we are required by law to keep backups for minimum of three months(data protection, legal intercept, e.t.c.).
Also this in the interest of providing good service I want have the ability to provide the customer his data (or restore it) even if the service has been terminated for some time.
This is also slowing down the removal of domains as the backup folder is NFS mounted.
(I who'd prefer backup being remove after there "Keep backup files for" time expires). -

Especially the law thing Vöggur mentioned is important ....

Some times customer call in after the service has been terminated and wants the data or to restore the service (I who'd prefer backup being remove after there "Keep backup files for" time expires).
This is also slowing down the removal of domains as the backup folder is NFS mounted.
(Also imagine that in some country's law enforcement/who'd require that backups should be available for x time.)
