we need a first configuration wizard when creating vm template with plesk preinstalled , as cpanel do and as you do before .
also asking for dns as cpanel do is a good idea .
we already opening a ticket because we use this feature in plesk 17.5 and your support open this feature request .
this feature is missed in plesk linux 17.8 where you set hostname taken from server automatically ( but doesn't ask during wizard ) , and on windows server you set a wrong hostname ( adding .local to server name )

Plesk Onyx 17.8 does not allow setting the hostname during the initial configuration (see https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005707554), and after the setup, .local suffix is appended to the computer name on Windows (in case no Primary DNS suffix is set), making it initially incorrect. In Plesk 17.5, the initial configuration process during installation via GUI was clear, and settings could be customized.
