As an Microsoft Consultant I highly recommend to never put a Domain Controller near the internet. Also, do not install Webservices or other Non-Related Stuff.
But If you want to get hacked, please proceed.... -

After trying to find a solution, I found that Plesk isn't supported on the domain controller! I'm not sure why this isn't possible. At last, the Plesk installer should warn when it's running for the first time by checking if the server is under the domain controller.

If AD is installed on a Plesk windows server 2016 by mistake, would the plesk still function well after removing the Active Directory service role?

I don‘t understand why Plesk ISP partners don‘t state this when selling Plesk with Windows server. We need to install Windows AD for software dev testing reasons and that is why we have acquired a Plesk managed Windows VS. Plesk together with a DC config on same server is a must!

Really? That would have a BIG security impact ....
Use Hyper-V on that machine and install two Servers. One for Domain Controller and one for Plesk (can by done with the same license, as Microsoft allows to have 2 VMs and on physical machine with the same license). And if theres' already a Hyper-V, just install Plesk on a Linux VM

Having Plesk installed on Windows Server with Domain Controller role will help customers with tight budgets to install Plesk on the same server instead of having separate servers for the Domain Controller.
