Database backup (scheduled and on demand)
For Backup Manager and Scheduled Backup Settings I missing the feature only backup database(s). :)
I think the upcoming 12.5 release shall solve your problem:
1) you will have option of Import/Export database alone in “Databases”
2) when doing new incremental backup, if no files were modified, then only database will be backed up
UPD:
This functionality is now available in Plesk 12.5. Please visit the following forum threads to learn how to install Plesk 12.5:

Hello Plesk Staff,
I want to notice that still this requirement is not available in Plesk Onyx.
You can schedule backup of Databate + filesystem, but not only database. -

Hi Plesk Staff,
I don't know why you don't implement a database only backup (a dump of the whole database)
I use Drupal CMS with multisite functionnality : it means one Drupal installation and many databases for each website.
Each domain is an alias of the main installation
So, I cannot backup the databases except the only one which is linked to the main domainThanks

Now i can backup databases+files. There is no option for backup only mysql database(s). Can you add this option?
Sheduled backup of mysql databases and remote copy to another server via FTP. -

that will be nice.
I now we can use phpMyAdmin to export the database, but a scheduled backup of only the database will be welcome! -

Such a feature is a must have on a server. It's one of the first things I add to a new server.
AutoMysqlBackup is free cool, works fast but only for mysql http://sourceforge.net/projects/automysqlbackup/ -

Adam B's comment is absolutely, definitely not black hat SEO link fodder at all. Totally legit.

I agree, this would be nice. Perhaps include it as an option in the normal backup manager. At the moment you can select 'configuration' or 'configuration and email' etc - add another option for 'database data only' and save it to a standard (or zipped) .sql file so it can easily be restored. This sort of backup would use very small amounts of space in most cases.
I currently use another server to run the mysqldump function to grab the data and save it. That works ok but its awkward to check and set up.

I agree that this feature is absolutely essential. We need to be able to schedule backups of databases in a convenient, readable format (SQL, possibly zipped) and upload these to a remote ftp repository.

Its a must have feature. I manage few databases and in case of issue with one I cant restore everything rather need to restore specific database only.
I have been manually taking backup of individual databases everyday as a work around. And of course I am migrating to another domain who does not use Plesk and has individual database backup feature.

Very important to get a MySQL backup feature added! Also see the feature suggestion "MySQL Database BACKUP" - perhaps these two suggestions should be combined in to this one.

Very surprising that this is not already an option in the backup manager. Arguably, most websites today, and in the future, will have a database at the core of the websites functionality. With the rapidly growing number of attacks on websites and client mistakes, especially with WordPress and other CMS applications, it is imperative to have daily, weekly, and monthly automatic database backups. PLEASE add this feature asap!

Hi,
I am using Plesk 11.5. I would like to take only Backup databases. Let me explain the case.
My website is having 115 sub-domains and each subdomain is linked with separate database. I mean 115 Sub-domains are linked with 115 Database. In plesk Backup Manager I can't see any option for to take only databases backup.Could you please explain how to do it?
Thanks -

This is a much needed feature. With the ever-growing availability of CMSs, and their 1-click install scripts, having database backups is just as important as file system backups.
