We really need to use docker because we need different MariaDB and MySQL versions.

With AlmaLinux 8 going into security support only for 2 months now, really surprised that support for AlmaLinux 9 is not yet implemented!

Surely this is not something big of a deal to implement this? unless WebPros are delaying this to make it a paid only option?

We finally moved straight from centos to almalinux9, Plesk support for docker on Almalinux9 is now an issue for us

We are currently migrating servers from centos 7.9 to almalinux due tu end of life for centos,
We do not plan to migrate to almalinux 8 and then to almalinux 9 in a short future, but rather jump to 9 directly, We use docker a lot and need it as many other hoster that may have not express the need.

The workaround mentioned above doesn't work any longer and due to the eol of version 8 it is really important to support docker on Almalinux9 in the current version of Plesk.

Just been told by our cloud provider that they will no longer provide Plesk with Almalinux 8, due to its EoL in May 2024. But Plesk doesn't fully support Docker in Alma or RHEL 9 yet, this is a real problem for us.

Docker usability and support for Almalinux 9 would be of great value!

Unfortunately since the new update I have not been able to get docker running on plesk. I thought it was intentional. Luckily I had a backup of the docker extension and only with this one it still works. I installed it manually, and disabled automatic updates so it won't update because it doesn't work. The error is: The execution of post-install.php has failed with the following message:
[2023-12-14 05:30:54.712] 1614428:6579ff66ad2f9 ERR [extension/docker] Execution installer has failed with exit code 1, stdout: , stderr: The extension does not support installation of local Docker packages on AlmaLinux 9. Please manually install Docker on this server or use a remote one.

Mr Black, have you tried to follow suggestion from the error text, install docker service on the server manually first and the install the Docker extension after that? As I know, in that case the Docker extension will able to manage local Docker as well as remote nodes.

Note: it is important to install exactly Docker CE service (not podman or something like this).

One more note: the paid license is required only if you plan to manage remote Docker nodes. If you plan to manage only locally installed Docker service, the paid license is not required, this feature is free.

I just purchased it for 1 year, I really can't afford this to not work, and now I can't use it. Please fix.

I think I need to ask for my money back.

I need it because I need to install Mastodon and on other methods it doesn't work and I bought server + plesk for that.

Definitely would like AlmaLinux 9 to support Docker!
