BUT ONLY IN COMBINATION WITH NGINX ??
What about APACHE only, wich btw. supports http/2 push!

ALPN support can be added when you distribute your own OpenSSL lib, just like unixadm repo does:

ALPN would have been great too. That would make http2-support perfect.

Plesk will have HTTP2 - no doubts about it! It is just not yet released to make it a great experience and easy to use.

We are working on enabling HTTP2. As we were saying at World Hosting Days conference last week, the delay is caused by incompatibility of current default server config with HTTP2. As much as we would like to enable it sooner, we want our customers to enjoy HTTP2 rather than leave them struggling with the config at their own responsibility.
For that reason we have to perform bigger work, than simple recompile web server.
Those, who want HTTP2 so badly that server stability becomes less important for them, they can surely try a different solution and run "experimental support" of HTTP2 there. Meanwhile we expect to deliver proper production ready support of HTTP2 within several weeks from now.
We much appreciate your patience

updating nginx to 1.9.5+ and building it w/ mod_h2 would do the trick :/

Come on Plesk, make it work before v 17. It is not that hard, is it?

Let it comes true ASAP!

Upgrading nginx from 1.9.4 to 1.9.5+ would do it for many people...
