add rar extract and compress to rar and other formats as well as zip available
For developers/database admins, sometimes backups are taken in different
formats and compression is done in different formats.
when compressed files other than ZIP file is uploaded for websites data
files, there is no way to uncompress them via PLESK, one has to go to SSH
and then extract to use it.
So compressing files/folders to multiple formats and then extraction from
multiple compressed formats will allow more ease of use for users where
they deal with no. of formats!

File extension gz is still not allowed:
„ Unable to extract logs/wpt_action_logs/action_log__example.com__25d05f94-b1fb-4729-b92a-f4e562dad063.log.1.gz: The file type is not supported. Only ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ, TGZ, RAR archives are allowed.“ -

Come on guys...can't you add such a basic feature?! cPanel is making you look bad!!
Im trying to migrate a WordPress site with hundreds of images from cPanel into Plesk...I have to create so many ZIP files, whereas I would love to be able to just create a few TAR GZ files...

as soon as posible..for me it is not problem to upload file and than extract it through CLI ...but end users don't have SSH access mostly...I mean this is something you should include few years ago

Hi Ionut, nice to see you here. We definitely agree that it would have been awesome if all those suggestions were already implemented. But they cannot be done all at once, so we have to pick some of them over another. For that reason we established public voting system - to help us to set priorities right. This proposal is supported by 21 person, while some others are supported by 100s. That would explain why something else might have been delivered earlier.
And still high chances to see this improvement in the next release
