read-only FTP-users (even on Linux)
Today, it is only possible to give write restriction by using .ftpaccess-files. It would be very nice if there was a switch in the panel when creating FTP users, which would make it possible to create a read-only account.
Thank you for your input. We will consider the possibility of implementing this feature in upcoming releases.
Fully agree with this point :
There must be a separate user for FTP access and should not be the same as owner. By default website user should not have write access to the directory.
We are in 2020 .... the request had been done in 2014 ...
just by doing the use of FTP could be more secure!
