Please implement this feature. You can see why other administrators put it on the whitelist.

I'd like to be able to add a comment when I whitelist an IP address in Fail2Ban so months later I know who it belongs to and why it is whitelisted.

It's a must!
We need to identify from who is the trusted ip address, or why we add to the list.

Make it possible to add notes or description fields to an IP-address in fail2ban trusted list or Management of access restrictions for IP addresses list so users don't have to keep endless records of IP-addresses and why there are added to those lists.

I would love to be able to put a description with an IP I have banned or set as trusted in order to keep track of them.

In Plesk, in Parameter & security "Trust IP adresses page" , i suggest that you add a comment line for each adress (so i can remember who is who)
because on my server, I allow FTP sessions only to trusty IP adresses -

When manageing several servers with multiple hostmasters, it's hard sometimes to find out why somethings are done. Other then browsing our registrations, it would be usefull to enter comment with the firewall, black and whitelisting, fail2ban, etc. This way, you can comment on why an action is taken or why a ip-address is banned, allowed and for who this is dan. This make cleaning up and reversing actions a los easier.

It would be nice to be able to add a comment for a whitelisted or blacklisted IP address. When you have 40+ ip addresses it would make it easier to know which IP belongs to who from at a glance :-)

Please add this feature. I agree to cadns. Very often we have to add dynamic IPs because of customer problems. It would be nice to document this in plesk.

I agree completely with this suggestion, and it is an important one to add I think. While I can see the value in the idea of the most votes gets priority in Plesk considering implementation, this one is a priority for many of us I think, and is really a fairly easy one to add in terms of programming tweaks for Plesk team.
Many times we have to add a trusted IP address to enable someone who's having authentication problems, or whatever, but of course we don't want to leave it there forever because of dynamic ip addresses, etc. So instead of having to maintain a list ourselves separately to keep track of these, if, when we add a trusted IP address we could have a spot to add a small note, then when we view the trusted IP list, we can see ... oh yah, such and such and IP is associated with this problem we had, and so on, and remove when appropriate, etc. This would save us a big hassle.
