Be prepared for Debian Buster
Last time, it took the Plesk team quite a long time to support the new Debian version. As Debian Buster will probably be released in the following months, it would be very nice if a new Plesk version was available shortly after.
36 votesHi,
I’m glad to inform you that Debian 10 “Buster” Support for Plesk Obsidian is now Available with Plesk Obsidian 18.0.28 update #1!
Note: we do not consider support for any dist-upgrade scenarios for Debian 10, the best way to move from old Debian or other OS is Plesk Migrator.Just to remind, you always can check ETAs for new Operation Systems support in Plesk Obsidian FAQ: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/faq/#s1q6
Full Changelog for Plesk Obsidian 18.0.28 Update 1 is here: https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/#plesk-18028-mu1

FileManager ability to upload file to server by link
In filemanager we have abilities to create empty file and upload file from PC. I want to get ability to set link and upload file to server. To install some app now I should download distributive from vendor's site to my local pc, then I should upload it via FTP/FM on server. I want to upload it to server directly to save my time and nerves.
34 votesStarting from Plesk 18.0.36, it is now possible to upload files from remote servers by specifying the file URL

Enable/disable debug in Plesk via CLI
The suggestion is to implement CLI utilities to enable/disable Plesk debug:
plesk debug -enable
enabled = on
filter.priority = 7
show.utilexec = on
show.utilexec_io = onplesk debug -enable --sql
The same as previous + show.sql_query = onplesk debug -disable
Now it is necessary to remember panel.ini path (/usr/local/psa/admin/conf/), copy panel.ini.sample, then edit it manually every time. And the same procedure to disable it.
33 votesIt's enough to call the following command:
plesk conf panel.ini

Remote logging feature for plesk
Due to compliance logging in the server is not acceptable. We need an option to redirect all plesk logs to syslog so that we can redirect the logs to remote server using syslog.
28 votesWe would like to inform you that the ability to duplicate the Plesk action log records to syslog (Linux) or Event Log (Windows) was introduced in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59. We are attaching our documentation on the matter:

Add support for NFS Partitions
Plesk should add support NFS Partitions for the vHosts as it would make it possible to over customers with High-availability clusters
17 votesUsing NFS shares to store hosted websites’ vhost directories is supported since Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49, published December 20th, 2022. To enable this feature, add the following lines to the panel.ini file:
[webserver]
syncModeOnRemoveConfiguration = true
Please let us know what you think about this new feature in your comments.

Configurable Admin Permissions
Since we are now able to create more than 1 Administrator within Plesk - it would be a good addition if one would be able to give those Admins particular Rights within Plesk.
I don't want my "Everyday-Admin" to be able to stop Services within Plesk or even Shut-Down the whole Server within the Panel ...I want them to do their work with Customers/Domains/Hostings ... but access to the "real Admin Areas" should be restricted ...

This functionality was added in Plesk Obsidian RTM release. We suggest you upgrade to the latest version and check it out.

Support for Windows Server 2022
The new Windows Server LTSC release is in public preview already. Its killer feature for web-hosting is support of TLS 1.3.
Could you please support it from the day 1, when RTM will be released?

Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for Plesks admin url
It would be great if we could ad a Let's Encrypt SSL to the admin url.
Is there an easy way to do this or will there be support in Plesk to do this?

distupgrade for Debian and Ubuntu (i.e. Debian Squeeze to Debian Wheezy)
This used to work with previous Debian versions (e.g. Etch -> Lenny, Lenny -> Squeeze) but it doesn´t seem to be possible with Squeeze -> Wheezy.
The proposed way of "updating" is to make a backup and restore it on a new server. As we have 50+ servers this simply isn´t feasible: We cannnot get a new server and transfer multiple customer domains (some using external DNS) for each of those servers. This would cause long downtimes and problems with data being transferred that is changed on the old server (from website users).
It has been possible before so it…

Add support of google authenticator to improve security of login process
"The Google Authenticator project includes implementations of one-time passcode generators for several mobile platforms, as well as a pluggable authentication module (PAM). One-time passcodes are generated using open standards developed by the Initiative for Open Authentication (OATH) (which is unrelated to OAuth).
These implementations support the HMAC-Based One-time Password (HOTP) algorithm specified in RFC 4226 and the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) algorithm specified in RFC 6238."

Change MySQL with MariaDB or possibility to chose
It seems that more and more start to change MySQL with MariaDB
"Specifically, Google is moving to its own customized version of MariaDB 10.0. This version of MariaDB is equivalent to MySQL 5.6. Google's version of MariaDB, according to Cole, is "Not really true 'forks' [but are] branches for internal use." He added that Google had been making its own tweaks to the MySQL DBMS family for years."
no offense to oracle .............

Let'sEncrypt Extension for Windows & .NET platform
I've noticed that you have developed an extension for Let'sEncrypt which is working only on Linux edition of Plesk. Why don't you take a look at ACMESharp open source project on Github which has already developed a CLI for windows and .NET?
