  1. add an option to schedule a server reboot for some point in the future.

Under Tools & Settings->Restart Server, add an option to schedule a reboot for some point in the future rather than rebooting the server immediately.

  2. Adapt resources according Plesk license

I have a really powerful hardware, however I still see how low values are by default on a 30+ domains license and such a server hardware: Plesk doesn't adapt to license or resources at all.

Ultimately, I do not like try increasing the value progressively and restart apache or any other service a few times on production server, then see when the issue comes back because I didn't increase it enough approach.
It would be better if there was an automatic increase of the values, if applicable, depending on your license and/or system resources.

This seems like a great feature at first sight, but it is way beyond what a panel can and should do. Most of the tweaks that are hardware related must be done on the operating system level in system service configurations, security configurations etc. And these all play together. For example /etc/httpd/conf.d/fcgid.conf, /etc/httpd/conf.d/apache_limit.conf, /etc/sysctl.conf, /etc/nginx/ulimit.global_params, rlimit_files in all php-fpm.conf files, /etc/xinetd.conf and many more. It is unpredictable what the right settings for a specific hardware and usage scenario are. Configuring the operating system so that it can handle the expected load must be left to the server administrator, because only he/she knows what is the best setting. Specific tweaks strongly depend on the expected usage, e.g. will the system host one website with a high number of visitors or many websites with a low number? Will it solely be simple PHP/MySQL or also be frameworks like NodeJS, maybe Ruby etc.?…

  3. Allow the usage of anonymize_ip on gzip files

Allow the usage of the Utility anonymize_ip for files that are compressed using GZIP.

The following command does not anonymize the IPs:
    plesk sbin anonymizeip /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/logs/accessssl_log.processed.1.gz

You need to perform the following:
    gunzip /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/logs/accessssllog.processed.1.gz
    plesk sbin anonymizeip /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/logs/accessssl_log.processed.1

This is needed in order to have it working alongside with logrotate.

This request has not received many votes despite it was merged with a similar request to accumulate more votes. Also, GDPR has been in effect for many years now, so that only very few users might still have such old log files that need to be anonymized. As this request has not become popular, we must decline it.

  4. Keep backups if a customer account is deleted (optional)

The feature "Deleting a customer account now results in all backups belonging to that account being deleted as well" was implemented since Plesk Onyx 17.0.15

Add an opportunity to choose will the customer's backups be removed together with the customer or not

We have reviewed this request once again and still think, it makes no difference to keep backups of a "deleted" account compared to just keeping the account including the backups as "disabled". In both cases the result is the same: Data are kept and in case they are needed they can be restored. Actually the current situation is even better, because there you don't need to have a backup that has been created as a "backup" (e.g. in Backup manager), but you have the account content as long as you need it.

Your argument here was that in some cases law requires to keep backups of customer data. But what do you do if the customer did not create a "backup", e.g. with Backup Manager? Instead with simply disabling an account and deleting it later you always fulfill the requirement to have a "backup" of the customer's data. We believe…

It would be nice if Plesk supports an in-place dist-upgrade from Windows Server 2008 (R2) to Windows Server 2012 (R2).

  10. A choice of popular applications that are displayed in the Plesk client panel

Now the list of recommended applications for customers displays only 3 applications: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal on start page in Plesk (customer level).
It would be nice if the hosting provider himself may indicate or change the list of recommended applications for its customers.

Yes, now the above applications are the most popular. However, in different regions and among different providers and web studios may be other applications more popular.

For example there are e-commerce applications that meet the requirements of tax laws (such as Russia), and are popular in this country, but these applications are not the most popular in…

  11. Track E-mail Sent from System more effectively

Introduce a system to show outgoing mail from the system, outgoing mail queue for domains and e-mail headers sent by domains to make tracking spam and abuse of the system simpler.

Having had a week of tracking down scripts attempting to send etc. Its proved hard to identify which domains within a subscription are offending and from which hosting package. Might be an idea possibly to track back to a script for a domain using the php mail() or by using sendmail features.

  12. Soft Suspend - Restrict Limited Service Access

Right now plesk suspend feature disable all services including Web, SMTP, POP, IMAP but there should be an option where administrator have choice to define which services to suspend.

The usual problem we experience is, when we suspend services the email services stops completely but we want the SMTP (specially inbound) should be enable so customer emails reach to server instead of bounce back but they cannot access their email through POP/IMAP services.

    Thank you

  13. email forwarding anti loop mechanism

Today it seems Plesk is not able to manage a simple mail forwarder configuration like the following:

pippo@domain.com (local address) forwarding to pluto@domain.com (local address)
pluto@domain.com (local address) forwarding to pippo@domain.com (local address)

This kind of configuration generates a mail-forwarding-loop, but it should be possible to avoid it and terminate the forwarding without issues.

This kind of configuration is simple and immediately working on cPanel based systems (tested on several systems). in my specific case, I migrated from cPanel to Plesk a company mail server and now I'm experiencing big complaints because I'm not able to preserve this simple configuration…

  14. Change how SSL's are added to domains

What is the point in being able to add SSL Certificates under Tools and Settings and then there is no crossover under the domain name to add the SSL to a domain hosted on the server?

I.E I've added an SSL for a customer to the server under Tools and Settings only to go to the "secure sites" option under their hosting to find that the SSL doesn't appear there, and that I have to request it again!!

  16. smtp

    Dear all,

I look for having forwarding email in plex with the ability for the mail user to send mail by SMTP. It seems not possible to have a SMTP access without creating a mailbox and then using space size even if all is forwarded directly.
Could you please indicate me the way to solve this issue ?

    Thanks a lot advance.

  19. Plesk Multi Server: allows mailbox owners access to Plesk

Plesk Multi Server should allows mailbox owners access to Plesk using credentials from their mailboxes so they can manage their Out-of-Office and reset their password. This feature is present in the standalone Plesk but needs to be ported over to Plesk Multi Server

  20. Add server IP to fail2back Trusted IP by default

We recently had an odd situation where some times we would get 502 Bad Gateway errors on nginx. Plesk support diagnosed the issue and discovered that fail2ban was adding the server's IP address to the ban list and blocking itself for 10 mins at a time. It would be good measure to automatically add all of the servers' IP addresses to the Trusted IP section of the fail2ban in Plesk by default. It currently only adds 127.0.0.1 in the Trusted IP by default in Plesk.
