  1. Ability to set PHP version per directory inside the same webspace

    A customer would like to be able to assign different PHP versions for different directories inside one the the same webspace.
    For example,
    /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs - php5.3.3
    /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/test - php5.2.17
    /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/test2 - php5.6.12

  2. Setting primary NS server in SOA record

    For now the first registered NS Entry of all listed NS Entries will be the primary NS. Without knowing this it's really difficult to find out which NS will be the primary NS. The outcome of this is a wild change of NS Entries and hoping that the correct entry will be the primary. It would be great if you actually can choose the primary, at least an information what and why will be the primary.

  3. Server-wide e-mail settings - Blacklist

    1. Function extension: bad domains with wildcard app, such as "* .bad-domain.tld or "?.*.bad-domain.tld", similar to spam blacklist?
    2. Possibility of uploading txt file, similar to spam blacklist?

    The problem: We have currently registered over 900 bad domains. 30% is held by domain variants.

  4. Plesk Server license migration grace time display

    Scenario:

    When migration a whole server to a new host it is sometimes required to migrate the current license to the new host machine (there are several different reasons for this).
    As for now (10.12.2016) I understand that there is a grace period that allows to double use the license on two machines.
    This is nice and works fine, BUT this should be displayed on both machines, the current AND the new machine.

    On the license management page and the start page of Plesk panel (to admins only!).
    The following data should be displayed:

    Possibility to edit the DKIM popup message which contains the TXT records that need be added on external DNS server.

  6. Implement AppArmor support for Apache

    AppArmor provides much stronger security for web applications than what is currently available, especially since PHP open_basedir is both slow and known to be insecure.

    With AppArmor you don't need such settings, and it is possible to allow PHP functions such as exec() and system() - but only allow access to certain binaries. This provides a more flexible system for our customers, and we have more fine-grained control over what they can and cannot access.

    Additional AppArmor profiles for services that come with Plesk might be useful too, but securing Apache is the main thing.

  7. Email import tool

    It would be a great idea to be able to import mail for individual email accounts via POP3 from other servers.

    This would be great for customers migrating to you so that they can keep all their email.

    Would just need fields such as:
    -Hostname
    -Username
    -Password
    -Port
    -Encryption

    Implemented as the functionality of Site Import 1.2.0 https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/onyx/change-log/#17811-mu20180516

    Added the ability to import the content of mailboxes hosted on third-party servers with the IMAP access into mailboxes hosted on a Plesk server. Now users can import emails from Gmail or Yahoo! Mail mailboxes and from mailboxes managed by control panels (for example, Plesk or cPanel). All folders (including custom folders) and emails contained in them are imported. The “read” or “unread” status of imported emails is preserved.

  8. Notification interval setup

    Right now the notifications in Plesk via Tools and Settings > Notifications can only be setup as per the starting condition when expiring (I.E.: 10 days in advance).

    It would be good to have more settings such as the interval as, as of now, the notifications are sent daily once the condition is met and it would be nice to be able to set it with mor flexibility (I.E.: each 5 days).

    We know that network traffic, queries served in can cause this type of problem, but is valid comment that other lodgings are faster settings, is the route to the server is not far from our country Brazil, because if not have a dedicated link in Brazil? The plans are very good, but the approaches leave something to be desired.   10. Implement option to enable and disable "auto delete any emails flagged as spam by SA" when "Apply individual settings to spam filtering" opt

    Details: In individual mailbox, there should be an option (checkbox) to delete spam by SpamAssassin.

  11. Add more command line options to configure Plesk

    It´s very handy that many aspects of Plesk can be configured by command line. This makes configuring a new server quite comfortable as it´s way better than to click through all options. As we get new servers every now and then, it´s a real time saver.

    But to perfect this, the following things should also be configurable via command line. At least I couldn´t find a way to do so already.

    Server Management > Tools & Settings >
    - Panel Branding
    - Notifications
    - System Time
    - Session Idle Time
    - Virus Protection Settings > Used antivirus

  12. Plesk migration domain, reseller customer list.

    To add a list of the domains when using the select Only manually selected resellers, customers and domains, on migration screen.

    A count of number, customer, resellers, subscriptions select to be migrated. Before proceed and finding you've missed one or two.

  13. Exclude domains from backup in UI or provide option to select what should be included

    Add an option to exclude domains / clients / resellers from a backup to the Plesk user interface.

    Currently, it is possible only via command line:

  14. Website copy with password protected folders

    Hi,

    With the "site copy" functionnality, I can move website A to website B. Great.

    But the copy don't keep the password protected folders : I have to recreate them.

    It could be great to add an option for migrate password protected folders with the website copy.

  15. Allow the Plesk admin to modify the "Account Activation" notification that is sent when creating a new user

    Allow the Plesk administrator to modify the "Account Activation" notification email that is sent when a new user is created.

    Currently there is no way to change this in Tools & Settings > Notifications.

  16. Option to disable wp-cron and set up crontab

    Add an option to WordPress Toolkit to disable wp-cron.php execution and optionally create a real cron job.
    You would have to add:
    define('DISABLEWPCRON', true);
    to wp-config.php and than give the admin a choice to set up a cron job with custom times (e.g. every 10Min or 6h).

    The ability to disable wp-cron was added in WPT 4.7. Users can enable a switch on each site, disabling wp-cron execution. This will also create a scheduled task in Plesk which you can modify to change the execution frequency.

    Server administrators can also choose to enable this feature on all new WordPress sites. This is done on WPT Settings screen.

  17. Ability to enable the detailed error messages in IIS

    Currently, this can be enabled in IIS > example.com > Error pages > Edit feature settings

    or Domains > example.com > File Manager and adjusting the web.config file manually

    The native functionality to enable/disable detailed errors in Domains > example.com > IIS Settings will be easier for customer. Without involving server administrator or adjusting web.config manually.

  18. Better migration of "PHP from OS vendor" parameters

    Please consider the following use case:
    - testdomain.tld on a CentOS target server is using "PHP from OS vendor" version 5.3;
    - The destination server is Ubuntu 14, with newer version of PHP from OS vendor, so you install PHP 5.3 with Plesk Installer;
    - The migrated testdomain.tld will have different PHP parameters that may cause disruption of the website.

    An example: PHP short open tag is enabled by default on PHP from CentOS repository, but is disabled on PHP 5.3 handler installed via Plesk Installer. If a PHP code uses short open tags, the script will stop working.…

    The problem may be in that destination server will not be able to use specified version of PHP for the migrated domain because of absence in official OS vendor’s repository. To prevent this kind of problems we see improvement of pre-migration checker which will notify you about possible post-migration issues. After that, the server administrator must solve the problem himself. The automatic resolving of these incompatibilities looks very dangerous.

  19. Setting alternate directory path location of the vhost per Domain or service packet

    At the moment it is not possible to change or choose the vhost path for a domain. Every Domain is installed in the standard vhost path, at example /var/www/vhosts
    If someone has a Server with attached fast and slow storage or big and small storage, it should be possible for the administrator to choose between them when installing a new Domain. It could be possible to give a customer service packages with faster storage for mission critical domains or giving him a lot of space for another domain located on disk drives mounted to another location.

    At the moment you can change default vhosts location in Plesk using the command-line utility transvhosts.pl
    Just check available options with

    plesk bin transvhosts.pl —help

    Changing vhosts directory location for part of domains is impossible now.

    Anyway thank you for your input. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases, if it will be popular.

  20. Add Microsoft SQL Server PHP extensions to Plesk Linux

    They can be disabled by default (and optionally be enabled in PHP Settings, 7.0-7.1 only). The drivers appear to be quite stable - I have successfully installed them in Plesk on Ubuntu 16.04 and CentOS 7.4.

    This is especially interesting since SQL Server 2017 is available for Linux and Docker.

    Once the extensions are installed/enabled, the follow-up request would be to allow me to add remote MS SQL databases in Plesk Linux (not limited to RDS - any remote MS SQL instance).
