  1. plesk migrator should lock the domain and service to suspend while migrating

    solution idea 1. rename the index.php per default to index_.php after mirgration is done rename to index.php

    solution idea 2.suspend the domain, i think than its not possibile to access it.

  2. External MySQL permissions per user/reseller

    After adding an external database server via tools & settings -> db servers , set the option of who is permitted to use it.
    This way we can offer private sql srv's to e.g resellers or anyone who would like to buy this addon feature.

  3. Ability to exclude trusted mail servers from DKIM checker

    There are trusted mail servers with incorrect/broken DKIM.
    It's needed to exclude such mail servers from DKIM checker. Tools & Settings > Mail Server > White List doesn't allow to exclude mail servers from DKIM/DMARC/SPF check.

  4. Make PHP-PM available for usage with Nginx and Apache

    Currently we have the choice of fastCGI with Apache or fastCGI or FPM with nginx when setting up a PHP site.

    These are great but a newer alternative is now out, PHP-PM, which could give a lot of sites a very nice performance boost.

    It would be great if we could get this added as an extra option on Plesk when setting up PHP sites.

  6. Enable setting the default (and a custom) max-age value for HSTS in the SSL-IT! plugin

    The Dutch web application guidelines (https://www.ncsc.nl/documenten/publicaties/2019/mei/01/ict-beveiligingsrichtlijnen-voor-webapplicaties) prescribe a minimun max-age of one year (max-age=31536000). The default in the SSL-IT! plugin is 6 months. There is no option for one year, but there is an option for two years.

    I would like to be able to set the default value and add custom values to choose from. I would also very much appreciate to be able to set those through the CLI.

  7. Improve knowledgebase article on testing prior to DNS migration

    You suggest use of the hosts file to point the domain at HostGator prior to DNS migration. This does not work in most cases for Windows Enterprise shared hosting.

    Further, using the temporary domain solution you support, ASP.Net applications do not work if they require a web.config file (which they almost always do)

    My understanding is that, although you recommend these approaches in your knowledgebase article, you do not actually support them. Assuming the issues above cannot easily be fixed, the documentation needs to provide a warning that they do not work with Windows shared hosting.. Further add a suggestion…

  9. NodeJS Allow more environment variables

    When setting environment on a NodeJS App (using NodeJS extension) I am getting to the limit of four variables, sometimes five.

    I assume that line ending is reached or something. I am connecting to several mongodb databases and for each db I need to auth which is set within an environment variable.

    This limits my app a lot since I need to build overcomplicated workarounds using files to be loaded async and their content to be validated, then connecting to the db and so on.

  10. Add option to hide DKIM management

    We haven an external DNS cluster and an external customer panel in which customers can manage things like DNS records etc.

    We have implemented a function through which we can let the customer enable DKIM through the external panel, which enables it on the Plesk server, retrieves the key, and adds the key to the zone on the DNS cluster

    In order to avoid conflicts and confusion we would like to hide the DKIM settings in Plesk for the customer on the subscription level.

  11. Permissions for SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS management

    It would be nice for the users to be able to enable or disable:

    "Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS"

    option in their panel.
    Instead of setting it in the service plan, give to the user the permission to manage this feature.

  12. Problem with international Domain Names and Spamassasin

    I migrated from my old plesk Win Server and got errors

    i got 2 errors with mailadresses:
    Warning: mailname "info@stöxx.com"
    Execution of C:\Parallels\Plesk\bin\spamassassin.exe --update info@stöxx.com -do-not-check-server-settings -ignore-nonexistent-options failed with return code 1.
    Stderr is
    Wrong syntax for command's '-update' parameter. 'info@stöxx.com' does not match the pattern '/^[\w-+']+((.)[\w-+']+)*@[a-z\d]([a-z\d-]{0,61}[a-z\d]){0,1}(.[a-z\d]([a-z\d-]{0,61}[a-z\d]){0,1})+$/i'.

    Warning: mailname "info@bräustüb-xxxxxxx.de"

  13. Disk usage statistics by type

    Admin statistics in Tools and Settings show disk usage however, it would be great to have the functionality to show usage by type of content.

    For example, how much space is used by mail, media files, binary files, etc.

  15. Possibility to chose and setup the installation directories on Plesk installation or migration

    It would be great to have the option to setup and fine-tune the Plesk configuration at a install directories level (Installation, vhost directories...), should be an option from the beginning (I.E.: On installation, migration, etc...).

    At the moment the possibility is present bunt by modifying the Plesk configuration files after the installation has been already done.

  16. Optimize clarity of the new UI

    The new modern UI needs optimization for usability and clarity.

    In the last version, useful control buttons (toggles etc) had a clear indicator (icon with bright color) if they are activated or deactivated. Now they are very nondescriptive.

    For example the activate/deactivate button in the DNS settings for a domain. It's just a button (but a very important one!) looking like every other button. Because of this lack of clarity, there is no clear indicator if DNS is activated or deactivated in this settings-view.

    I'm sure there are more views/pages with this problem.

  17. Change domain name during migration

    Add an option to Plesk Migrator allowing to change names of subscription/domains/databases, etc. during migration. For example on source server subscription name is example.com and on target it should be example.net. It is better than manual rename of subscription and both websites can be live on different servers

  18. Fix DirectAdmin NS records during migration

    Concerning the following error when migrating from DirectAdmin:

    "Failed to convert DNS records for subscription 'example.com'
    Migration for that subscription is considered completely failed. No further actions are performed for it.
    Migration tools tried to perform operation in 3 attempts: label empty or too long"

    This error requires NS records from DirectAdmin that use "." as a value to be manually fixed to "ns1.example.com". Is there any chance of having those records changed automatically during migration rather than simply failing with an error in the future? Or perhaps at least having the error specify the record(s) it takes issue with?

  19. Ability to set in service plan which hosting type will be available for customers

    Currently, it is possible to disable hosting at Service plans > serviceplan > Hosting Parameters

    In that way customer will only have option "No hosting" and cannot change it.

    I would suggest add the ability to choose which option will be available for customers. For example:

    No hosting
    Forwarding

    OR

    Only forwarding

    OR

    Web Hosting
    No hosting

    Currently, only administrator can change hosting type if web hosting is disabled in service plan

  20. Disable the option to modify the CAS trust level as customer/reseller level

    As for the moment it's only possible to apply specific option to change server-wide the CAS trust level.

    the option allows changing the CAS trust level for individual websites via tools & settings > ASP.NET, based on the documentation:

    If you do not select this checkbox, websites will use the server-wide setting. Otherwise, each website will be able to have its own CAS trust level specified in the website’s hosting settings.

    The idea is creature a feature/option to remove the option as customer or reseller to be able to change/modify the CAS trust level.
