  1. Migrate AWStats customizations

Currently any customization made into AWStats configuration files (for domain /usr/local/psa/etc/awstats/* or server-wide /etc/awstats/awstats.conf), for example, language changing are not migrated. It would be nice feature to add ability to migrate such settings, so that users do no have to turn it back manually

If you mean webstat page protection by SSL certificate, then web statistics is considered as security sensive information and by default access is protected with password and SSL, if SSL support is enabled.

If you mean calculation SSL traffic in Awstats, then it was implemented in Plesk Onyx 17.8

  4. dynamic awstats generation

Every day the static stats generation run is causing our plesk infrastructure a huge spike of disk IO just to build the statistics, I'd suggest to have an option to have awstats available on request, dynamically.

  5. Update AWstats to 7.4 / 7.5

We're getting more and more IPv6 traffic. And because the currently distributed version of AWstats does not support GeoIPv6 it creates lots of 'unknown' countries and cities..

Plesk doesn’t ship awstats, it only downloads it from original OS vendor repo and it is quite likely it may be outdated there (especially for older OS). If your OS comes with awstats 7.5, then Plesk would run awstats 7.5 for clients.
At the moment there is awstats-7.7-centos7.18020211.noarch on Plesk 17.8 installed on CentOS7 server.

  8. Plesk awstats package version should be higher than EPEL version of it

It is suggested to keep Plesk's version of awstats higher than one from EPEL. Otherwise, this results in the Plesk awstats being replaced/superseded by the EPEL version upon software-updates. This results in problems with the awstats not functioning properly within Plesk.
The current EPEL version for awstats is: 7.8-2.el7
The current Plesk version for awstats is: 7.7-2.centos.7+p18.0.33.0+t210112.1240

    Thank you for your input.
We never focus on versions of packages from third-party repositories and are not going to depend on them. Therefore, your request looks like a bug report. I advise you to create it here: https://talk.plesk.com/forums/reports.746/

  9. Import Awstats from CPanel with Plesk Migration

When performing migration from Cpanel to Plesk, it would be very helpful to import Awstats (Web statistics) from CPanel to Plesk with Plesk Migration in order to keep these information.

  11. Awstat have customized values in configuration file for a one single domain

In Awstat have customized values in configuration file for a one single domain, now the only customization that can be made is file %plesk_dir%\Additional\AWStats\wwwroot\cgi-bin\awstats.model.conf for all domain.

  12. Change default awstats retention to 12 months

The default is 3 months. That's a useless period of time. It should be at least 1 year. I just changed 2 servers to 10 years (120 months). I have an angry client that they can't pull up stats from June 2023 and it's February 2024

The retention time depends on the log retention setting. If your log rotation is set to keep logs for 3 months only, the same applies to your statistics. If you set your log rotation to 12 months retention, statistics will be retained for the same time, too.

If you require individual assistance with this topic, please open a ticket with Plesk support at https://support.plesk.com .

  13. Support for modern web statistics programs such as GoAccess

It would be nice if https://goaccess.io/ was supported for statistics.

    • Written in C, so faster than a perl script such as awstats.
    • Can be used in the traditional way to generate static HTML statistics pages from log files. But a more advanced integration could also provide real-time statistics.

  15. real-time view parameter

It would be nice if Plesk could in the awstats be able to have the real-time view parameter of the most important visits to the website, as Yandex Metrika and Google Analytics have

Unfortunately, AWStats is a third-party product which Plesk provides "as is". That software itself is not maintained by Plesk. Please consider to install a statistics software of your choice such as Matomo or maybe use a SaaS like Google Analytics to achieve the desired result.

  16. Add an admin reporting tool so can quickly see domain SSL usage, domain PHP version usage by domain, PHP settings by domain

For instance the page https://...:8443/admin/ssl-certificate/list shows the default is used 16 times. TIME? WHICH DOMAINS?

    Similarly...
Which domains still using PHP 5?
Which domains have PHP uploadmaxfilesize > 16M?
    Which domains have PHP memory_limit > 1G?
    Which domains use AWSTATS?
    ... etc ... etc ...

  17. Disable statistic files generation (.stat/.webstat) for domains where AWStats/Webalizer are disabled

Please add the ability to disable generation of stat/webstat files for domains (named like accessssllog.stat and accessssllog.webstat). It would be nice to be able to disable statistics generation completely, as in some cases these files take a lot of disk space.

  18. Allow viewing statistics without entering password if already logged into Plesk panel (SSO)

Right now one needs to enter username/password if one wants to view Awstats statistics, even if already logged into Plesk.

I think you should modify that, so that this is no longer necessary.
It should be trivial for your panel to perform the authentication and pass through the statistics page from disk.

  20. Awstate update to supports Geoip registration

As AWstat is still core part of Plesk, will it be good to have a solution out-of-the-box that is able to geolocalize the hits isn't it ?
