It yet needs to be explained what opening or closing of encrypted (probably password-protected?) directories should do. If they ought not be password-protected, why not simply remove password-protection?

The new DNS Integration for Cloudflare extension is production-ready since Plesk 18.0.56, published October 10th, 2023. If you are using Cloudflare, you can now also benefit from the Cloudflare CDN.
Please comment which other CDN providers you are using in case this does not yet cater to your needs.

You can get quick access to the installed extensions using the Quick Access menu which will appear in the first second when you point a mouse on the ‘Extensions’ menu item. It’s exactly what you are asking (see attached image).
If using this menu is not suitable for you, please keep vote and describe in comments why its feature is not fit your needs.

I think that the need is to be able to temporarily disable the protection, without removing it.
That makes sense, because this way we can save a lot of time : we won't have to re-create all users/passwords couples for the concerned directory.
Yes Plesk Team, a directory is sometimes prassword-protected for numerous users.
