The mail folder is not accessible via FTP to prevent incidental damage. Can you tell why would you need to have this folder?

Most likely you confused us (software vendor) with your hosting provider, who are responsible for setting specific limits.
Our software would let 400Mb or any other limit set for email accounts, yet hosting provider may choose whatever limit they prefer.

We are not Matthias, but a software company which CP is used by Matthias. Indeed, admin of the system (Matthias) has an option in our CP to disable Mail. We do recommend to contact Matthias via email, phone or any other channel in order to get this problem solved.
