  1. Server Health: Show Apache CPU Usage per domain

It is difficult to identify the offending website, and this would help tracking it down

    • make SSL Certificates for mail services manageable from Plesk

To change SSL certs for mail services one has to manually change at least three files: (depending on system e.g.)
      /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem
      /usr/share/imapd.pem
      /usr/share/pop3d.pem

This is very confusion and not very usable, esp. as there are already a number of SSL ways to set certificates in Plesk (per domain, per ID, for the panel, as std. for all domains, ...)

This could be streamlined and a simple tickbox, like 'Set this certificate for mail services' would make the life of administrators much easier!

      • Limit resources per user

As the title says, plesk panel should be able to limit these resources, for example, per system user.

        Resources:
RAM, CPU (%/cores), Maximum Processes per user

        -->including a automatic banning solution

        (cpanel has this functionality)

          Hi everyone,

The ability to control system resource usage via Service Plans and Subscription limits is now available in Plesk Onyx previews. The following resources can be limited by this feature:

          • CPU
          • RAM
          • Disk I/O

Note: this ability is based on CGroups (Control Groups) feature of Linux kernel, so it’s available only on OSes with systemd (for example: Centos 7, Debian 8 and Ubuntu 16.4).

We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. Please visit the following forum thread to learn how to access the preview: https://talk.plesk.com/threads/plesk-onyx-preview-and-feedback.337172

          How to try this feature:

          1. Make sure you have an OS with systemd
          2. Go to Tools & Settings > Services Management (in the Server Management group) and start the Resource Controller (cgroups) service.
          3. Open a service plan (or go to subscription properties) and click the RAM, CPU Disk I/O tab.

          We would appreciate…

        • Customer email notification when mailbox quota exceeded

It would be a very useful feature to have an email automatically injected to a customers mailbox when their quota is close to the limit and another when the mailbox quota has been exceeded with advice (customisable) on how to resolve the problem.

Sometimes clients are unaware/forget their quota and if accessing via outlook/smartphone etc they are not aware of the limit being reached. This can result in several days without emails or emails being rejected with a "mailbox full" autoresponder. Ironically this means anyone sending emails to the client are aware the mailbox is full but the client is…

          • Move domains between subscriptions

This is a feature that needs to be brought to the Plesk Control Panel.

This request has been outstanding since Plesk 10:
            http://kb.parallels.com/en/113938

This wasn't possible in Plesk 11.5.
            http://kb.parallels.com/en/121606

It still does not appear possible in Plesk 12.

At the very least, breaking a domain out into its own subscription would be a good first step.

            Search words:
I cannot move domain to another subscription
            move webspaces
            move a domain within a multi-domain subscription
            multi-domain subscription
            migration manager
            transfer a domain
            separate subscription
            split subscription
            break out domain from subscription

            • Multiple backup rules or more options

At this moment, you can set only 1 rule to make backups (daily, weekly, or monthly). My idea is to make multiple backup rules (ex. which daily backups should be deleted) or simply make more backup options.

              Ex:
I want to make daily backup and delete every older than 2 days, except one day of the week and one day of the month.

              ex interface:
Make [daily/weekly/monthly] backup and keep only:
[n] daily backups (enabled only for daily backups)
[n] weekly backups (enabled for daily and weekly backups)
[n] monthly backups (enabled for daily, weekly and monthly backups)

              So, if…

                    • Keep server up2date with "apt-get" or "yum" (update PHP, Apache, MySQL, etc)

                      Hi everybody,

Following my post on the plesk forum, I propose to the team having a features which allow the update a server (like an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade) but directly from plesk to update the server.

Indeeed, I find really strange that there is not way to maintain a server up-to-date and we are oblige to directly to the server to launch this operation.

                      Regards,

Plesk currently offers two high-quality anti-viruses and other related services like WAF. Integrating another anti-virus solution is an expensive undertaking, so we’d like you to let us know which ClamAV features are missing in anti-viruses and services already available in Plesk. This will help us properly evaluate and prioritize this request.

                          http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=262215

There are quite many free and commercial cloud storages at the day where user could keep their backup. But many storages wouldn't offer FTP access. It may be helpful if Plesk could transparently upload backups into a customer's Dropbox, Amazon or Azure account.

ActiveSync is a necessary tool for most businesses today as it allows them to have everything in one place and stream it automatically to every device they use. Users with mobile phones and tablets can easily sync their contacts, calendars, notes and emails via activesync and users with outlook and other mail clients can sync contacts, mail and perhaps notes.

I would like to propose the management of SSL certificates for webmail in plesk panel.
Now, unless you use a wildcard certificate, you cannot secure your webmail with a valid SSL certificate.
Please make the SSL certificate used for webmail.<domain> .
Please also add a configurable central url for webmail, with SSL support, and add a redirect option to that url for webmail.<domain>
E.G. visitors for http://webmail.<customerdomain> will be redirected to https://<configuredwebmailurl>

The ability to secure webmail. in Plesk UI is now available in the latest Plesk Onyx 17.0.14 preview. We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. Please visit the following forum thread to learn how to access the preview: https://talk.plesk.com/threads/plesk-onyx-preview-and-feedback.337172

Go to any website, click SSL/TLS Certificates, select a certificate in the list and click “Secure Webmail”.

We are also planning to update our Let’s Encrypt extension, adding the ability to request and apply certificates for webmail.. The extension update is tentatively scheduled to be released later this year.

We would appreciate hearing your feedback on implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

It should be possible for the admin user to change his user login name. The name "admin" is not very secure, because it's easiert to hack via brute force. The hackers know, the name is "admin". If the user would be able to change his login name, it would increase the security of Plesk Panel.

We have serious doubts this function can really increase server security:
                                    1) Plesk has built-in protection against brute-force on login – it will lock the login form. So no one can try multiple attempts
                                    2) Arbitrary login name adds very little guess-complexity to a proper password. If you have concerns for your login brute-forced – add another 5-7 characters into your password and feel safe.

As changed login name is still very likely to be some sort of vocabulary word or derived from your other account name – this function would only give a false sense of better security. Your security strength is in complex password, not in a complex login name. If you have one good password, you don’t need to treat login as your “second password” – one good password is enough.

As for concerns that default password requirement is set in “weak”, that fail2ban module is not…

                                  • Spam configuration per subscription or domain

Now you have two opportunities to set the spamfilter - server-wide or individual. It would be very handy if the admin or the customer could set the spamfilter for the whole subscription or/and for the whole domain.
