Add option to Resellers can to restore data from Administrator's full backup on FTP
In Plesk reseller can restore data from a full backup created by Plesk administrator. Currently, the backup created to FTP storage can be restored only by its creator.
Add option to Resellers to restore data from the Administrator's full backup stored on FTP.
11 votesWe do understand that it seems desirable to being able to restore data from an admin-created backup. However, such a feature will bring about many high risks to availability, overload situations and data security including data privacy. When you enable customers to restore data from an admin-backup, it can very easily happen that several concurrent restore processes bring a server down as they all create intensive I/O load and high CPU load for data unzipping. Plus, on servers with a lot of data, the backup archives are very large and occupy a huge amount of temporary disk space upon unpacking. These also require many hours of restoration time, so queueing cannot be a suitable option either. And finally, when an admin backup is stored externally, this feature will also clog-up network bandwidth and there will be nothing an admin can do about it to ensure proper performance for all customers.

Hourly backup created via command, to be saved in external Cloud storage like amazon s3 or any ftp/sftp storage and not locally.
It would be very convinient and usefull if there is an option to save the hourly backup created via command line, to any external cloud storage like amazon s3, dropbox, google drive or FTP/SFTP storage.

Clone entire server to home pc harddrive
I have the problem that a pure plesk backup is useless as I have a complexe server setup with a lot of backgroudtechnology configuration in the background. Existing tools for server cloning are really very complexe and hard to handle. A One-Click-Solution would come handy.
1 voteWe have a clear documentation about servers cloning procedure https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/deployment-guide/plesk-installation-and-upgrade-on-multiple-servers/deploying-plesk-servers-by-cloning.76514/ and have no plans for one-click solution. Also you can use third-party solutions like Acronis for cloning whole hard drive.

Adding feasibility of downloading backup files via download management applications
Unfortunately, it's not possible to download backup files via applications such as internet download manager now, and this can be the reason of some problems for users (Failing downloads and repeating them) and hosts (ٌWasting bandwidth and other resources of servers).

Too dangerous and Too Close, move the remove database button, could accidently remove, when trying to export.
move the remove database button to somewhere else, could accidently remove a database when trying to export.
2 votesActually, should you accidentally click the button, the database will not be removed until an extra modal confirmation message is confirmed with another button click.

Know which Plesk login has created or restored backup in Plesk
Include in Plesk a new feature to find out which Plesk login has created or restored a backup in Plesk. This could be done recording such logs in Plesk Action Log.

Improvements to Backup Manager
I (and other users, I believe) would like to see the following improvements to the Backup Manager:
- "IAM User Access Key Secret" is not saved when accessing the Remote Storage Settings screen. The secret should be saved, just as the ID is.
- Automatic creation of path in remote storage.
- Backup Manager should only display backups from that subscription/domain/user if Backup Manager is set to save all backups to the same folder (see https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006529173-Plesk-Backup-Manager-shows-backups-from-different-subscriptions)
- A full server backup on a remote storage is impossible to do if the server has less than 50% available disk space.…1 voteThank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, this request contains several different suggestions, and it’s not technically possible to properly handle them inside one request. Please consider creating separate feature requests for each of the items with all retails about desired usage scenario, expected benefits, etc.

To match the expiration date with current date
Hi there
Today is 20 November and the expiration day is 22 November. But already all tasks include back up are suspended. I suggest managers to match these days and let users use all features till the last second.
Best Regards.

Why not adding possibility to backup entire harddrive?
With plesk I can easily backup single domains. Thats really good but not really helpful as I need to backup entire server. I made a lot of custom changings directly on ssh. Why is there no function in plesk to backup the entire hard drive?
1 voteFirst – you can backup whole Plesk server (not only one domain) as administrator.
Second – you can’t backup hard drive where Plesk and many other processes are running. Backup will be inconsistent. Moreover, physical access to hard drive is required.
So, backup of hard drive is Linux administrator’s task but not Plesk administrator.

Bacula backup system or similar
Integrate Bacula system or similar backup system, with a clean-easy panel configuration =) , mysql integration and other setups to work fine =) =) =)
6 votesThis feature request has not received a lot of votes. For that reason we suggest to ask Bacula if they would like to develop an extension for Plesk to integrate their offer with Plesk. There are many other backup or storage space vendor extensions already. Also check out the Plesk Backup to Cloud Pro package that expands the backup options to many commonly used platforms.

Add Duplicati 2.0

it can blow AES backups to amazon cloud..
8 votesThis feature has not become popular over many years. For that reason we must decline it. Instead we suggest using the "Backup Cloud Pro" extension by which you can easily do secure cloud backups to various cloud services. https://www.plesk.com/extensions/offer-complete-backup-solution/
