  1. Smarthost per domain configuration & enablement

At the moment, it is possible to configure Smarthost in Plesk on a server level and enable it for all domains at once.

However, there can be cases where I need to enable configured Smarthost for some specific domains only, with all the other emails flow via the default mail system.

Another example is that when I, as an admin, configured Smarthost on a server level and want to provide my customers & resellers with an ability to enable this Smarthost ad hoc.

  2. Great fight against spam: Make possible to add settings in '.cf' for spamassassin like adding an helping DNSBL and/or modifying scores

The possibility to add DNSBL's is not bad, but not good as without knowing several emails are blocked and in these blocked emails sometimes is a or several hams/emails as false positives. Much better would be being able to put in an '.cf'-configurations-file for spamassassin 'DNSBL's, which do not block but move emails identified as spam to the spam folder. Later on the customer can watch from time to time if hams/femails as alse positives have been sorted out wrongly and put them back to the inbox or a sucfolder which is not for spams.

    A rule can even learn…

  3. Autoresponder "From" Email Addresses

It is commonplace nowadays to see something like this when we receive email.

"Accounts From My Organisation" accounts@myorganisation.com .

It looks far more professional and more aesthetically pleasing than the utilitarian "accounts@myorganisation.com" which is the only option currently available in the Plesk Obsidian autoresponder functionality.

It would be a nice feature - and fairly simple, I imagine - to add a field to the autoresponder functionality to allow us to enter a "pretty" name which would be what the email recipient would see in their inbox. Alternatively, of course, the existing field could be amended to allow for…

  5. Add global setting for automatic mail.domain.tld certificate assignment

I'd like to propose a straightforward solution that has proven effective in the industry.

Introduce a global setting in Plesk:

[ ] Use mail.domain.tld subdomains for all mail certificates
ⓘ This setting will automatically assign mail certificates through mail.domain.tld subdomains for all subscriptions.

    Benefits of this approach:

    • Provides a consistent, automated way to handle mail certificates.
    • Solves the automatic renewal issue without requiring manual intervention.
    • Simplifies subscription migration between Plesk servers. Customers won't need to adjust settings, reducing frustration for both clients and administrators.
    • Adapts to current market trends, where clients often host their websites externally (e.g., on Wix) while…

  6. View Full Content of Stuck Email in Queue

I would like to see the full content of the email that is stuck in the queue, rather than just the email headers and similar information. Currently, it is quite cumbersome to retrieve this information through the shell, and being able to view it directly would save considerable time and effort.

  7. Kolab - calendar sharing per contact group

It would be more convenient if it would be possible to specify contact groups in Kolab extension when sharing a calendar, instead of sharing it with users one by one.

  8. Add IP Address and "non-existent mailbox" to plesk_saslauthd Authentication Logs

In the "maillog" program logs, which contain "server plesk_saslauthd" entries, the IP addresses are not recorded. During brute force attacks from multiple IPs, there are failed login attempts to non-existent mailboxes. While these attacks don't pose a direct threat, they consume server resources and could become dangerous if they target existing mailboxes.

I request that IP addresses be added to the "server plesk_saslauthd" logs, along with information about non-existent mailboxes, to improve filtering through fail2ban.

    Current log:
Sep 20 08:14:00 server plesk_saslauthd[117757]: failed mail authentication attempt for user 'example@domain.com' (password len=14)

    Suggested log:
    Sep 20 08:14:00 server plesk_saslauthd[117757]:…

To find out the names of mailboxes that haven't been used for a long time (no logins, sending or receiving emails), for example, over 3 months.

  10. Set HELO/EHLO name in MailEnable on Windows at Plesk installation

A default Plesk install on Windows incorrectly sets the MailEnable hostname to servername.home which is invalid and will cause blacklisting of the Plesk server.

    It must be assigned manually:
    https://talk.plesk.com/threads/how-to-align-the-mail-servers-helo-ehlo-with-proper-dns-forward-and-reverse-values.368890/#post-924515
...which also may require creating a subscription on the server because the MailEnable settings requires the "sending notifications" email to be locally hosted.

A proper hostname should be set at installation, or at minimum a notice shown to the Plesk admin that a manual setting change is necessary.

  11. Add possibility to configure Plesk to relay all Plesk notification emails to another SMTP server that requires authentication

Currently, Plesk notification emails relayed to another mail server return "said: 550 Authentication is required for relay (in reply to MAIL FROM command)" errors.

A set of separate settings that allow you to configure Plesk to relay all Plesk notification emails to another SMTP server while using authentication would be very helpful for such setups.

  12. Monitor active mailbox connections (IMAP, SMTP and Exchange)

It would be useful to implement some sort of notification or monitoring system, that will indicate when and where the connection to the mailbox is established.

  15. GUI solution for the Greylisting and restriction of header mismatch

It'll be useful to implement a GUI solution for the configuration of Greylisting and restriction mismatching of the "From" header, as right now both of them are done via CLI (in case with header, by editing the postfix/main.cf).

  17. Improvements for Outgoing Mail Control - block mailboxes that send messages to non-existent destination

It would be great to have the ability to temporarily block mailboxes/domains that send messages to non-existent recipients (external or internal destinations). Such messages not only get deferred and gets stuck in queue, but also increase chances of blacklisting server IP.

  18. Provide the ability to send a copy of mailbox quota notifications to Plesk admin

When users receive the notification that their mailbox is near full, they often ignore it, or have a concern that it is a fake message. Some customers completely ignore the message because they don't know what to do. If we could provide the ability to also notify the Plesk admin, the customer could be called ahead of time, instead of receiving the "why isn't my mail working?" phone call.

  19. Increase mailbox size above the default size

Default Mailbox size is for example 5 GB per Mailbox. But on one Box, the client need more space. So it would be great, if all accounts stay on the standard Size. All mail addresses keep the default size, but one can increase the storage space. Currently, only the reverse is possible, but this makes little sense, as I don't want to adjust all the addresses individually, but only increase the one that has a compulsory requirement.

  20. Force port 587 for submission

I would like to have the option to force users to use port 587 for submission, so they can't use port 25 to submit email, and this port 25 is only used for relay between smtp servers.
