Lower passenger log level to 3 by default
In plesk the log level of passenger in /etc/nginx/conf.d/phusion-passenger.conf and /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/passenger.conf
is set to 5, which is a debug log level https://www.phusionpassenger.com/library/config/nginx/reference/#passenger_log_level
This is too high and creates logs of 300Mb within 2 days, it should be set to 3 by default
Thank you for your input! We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

This is a very big issue, with recent plesk update on all my servers ,
daily about +1 GB log creation of /var/log/passenger/passenger.log.
it took time to pinpoint the issue for me , gotta patch all servers manually. -

This is not a feature we're asking for. The Plesk developers forgot to set the log level to an acceptable level used on production systems.

Just my two cents but the admin response above is a joke from a user perspective (i found this googleing my issue and while I honestly generally dont care to register an account I felt it needed if only to post this). I am no expert, but if the log level equals a debug level for peoples servers running live stuff, then this is not a suggestion or idea that you look into if it become popular. Stop using template answers! Jesus.

To be honest ... this should be a no-brainer and not a "if it will be popular" ... 🤦♂️
