read-only FTP-users (even on Linux)
Today, it is only possible to give write restriction by using .ftpaccess-files. It would be very nice if there was a switch in the panel when creating FTP users, which would make it possible to create a read-only account.

Alternative functionality for configuring FTP backup storage instead of <backup-manager> operator.
There is a need for new functionality that allows us to configure FTP backup storage settings. Plesk UI is not an applicable way. As XMP-API <backup-manager> operator is deprecated in Plesk 17.8, alternative cli functionality is required to manage FTP backup storage settings. It was possible to perform via XML-API <set-remote-storage-settings> node of <backup-manager> operator.

Offer proper sftp support through mysecureshell
It would be nice if Plesk by default installed sftp server software (such as http://mysecureshell.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ) that allows granting the user sftp access to his home directory only, without having to grant the user full SSH shell access.
Right now Plesk seems to be promoting FTPS as alternative for securely transfering files, but that simply does not work properly when the end-user has a firewall or NAT setup. Or when you have iptables rules on the server.
This is caused by that FTPS uses multiple TCP ports like normal FTP.
However because the control connection traffic is encrypted, firewall software…5 votesThank you for your input! We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

FTP Bandwidth Control in Plesk
Introduce a feature within Plesk to allow administrators to limit and manage FTP bandwidth usage on a per-domain or server-wide basis. This feature would enable precise control over the data transfer rates for FTP services, improving resource allocation and network traffic management. By offering bandwidth throttling, server administrators can prevent excessive FTP usage from affecting other services, enhancing overall server performance and customer satisfaction.

Provide more details and information in FTP logs
Provide more details and information/verbosity in FTP logs such as /var/log/plesk/xferlog as the information as it is now is meaningless and useless.
It is now possible to modify and raise the debug level on logs through ProFTPD configuration however, it would be great to be able to fine-tune it from within Plesk.

Support mod_ifsession for proftpd
For security we have mandatory the use of SSL / TLS to connect by FTP.
Although sometimes we have to make exceptions with a client.
With the mod_ifsession module of ProFTPD you could do:
<IfUser testuser>
TLSRequired off
</IfUser>It is a safe and official ProFTPD module, I do not understand why it is not active.

Add a predefined group called "Anonymous visitors to this web site"
I'm new to Plesk. In File Manager, I was trying to give full Read/Download permissions for a nested set of folders within my web site, to any anonymous visitor. It is not clear how to do this. I had to make a support call. Save yourself some time by adding relevant hints or help to the File Manager / Permissions page.
