If I haven't the license yet, Plesk allows me to install additional components like PostgreSQL and Tomcat. I then cannot start the services, of course. If I order those articles from my ISP then and if I tell Plesk the new license by importing the new license, it shows me that I can start the service (which could be installed without the proper license before), but if I start the service, it shows me the error message "Error: Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by pg_manage: Error: Unable to start PostgreSQL. 1 ('--start', 'postgresql')" (similar error message for…

Optimize PSA database to prevent disk based temporary tables & improve performance
On a server that only runs Plesk as a mailserver and no website hosting I noticed that a bare Plesk 12 install
1 Uses a lot of joins without indexes
2 Uses a lot of queries that force temporary tables on disk instead of in-memory
3 Aborts plenty of connections without properly closing themAs mysqltuner reports:
[!!] Temporary tables created on disk: 45% (14K on disk / 32K total)
[!!] Connections aborted: 14%It seems to me the PSA database design could do with a little love and optimization.

Include ability Increase the Size of the Logical Volume directly in plesk
When new servers are freshly set up you have to ssh in to the servers to manually create increased logical volumes , this could be easy done using scripts to increase using
df -h (most of that information is included and already seen in plesk under Hard Disk Usage )
fdisk -l
the amount available can be found by the pvs command
a pull down menu of sizes and a other box can be provided
lvextend -L +{xxxx]G /dev/mapper/vg00-var
xxxx resourced from user input the rest automatic from Hard Drive Info
then top it off with resize2fs /dev/mapper/vg00-var

stats even domain is disconnected
Hello, after domain is deleted by isp or transfered to different hoster, it's not possible to show stats.
2 votesWhen you remove domain, you remove all data about it, including stats. If you want to preserve some data, choose “suspend” or “disable” instead.

Changing Domain with Alias-Domain by using one click and save stats etc.
Hello, if using domain-aliases there is no easy way to seperate or to change the formaly default Domain into other place by using domain-alias as new default domain.

A way to manage many plesk servers from a single Master server even if it a top level over view
From here you could see all the servers in use, users on them, suspend / unsuspend. See server loads and limits. Create users / accounts etc. You could search for any domain / client and locate which server they are on easily.

to add a option for packet chmod - mutliple selection of files and folders, chmod of folder with contained files
Need option for change attributes of extracted files. a zip archive do not contain any attributes... and a tar gz archive is not extractable from the panel. i use panel 11.5

An option do create dedicated application pool on a subdomain creation
when creating a subdomain add a checkbox option to put it in a dedicated application pool on IIS.
Today we need to do this manually on IIS.
Thanks for you attention.
P.S.: I use plesk 9 on my server since 2009 (windows server 2003), i didn't found that option on plesk 11 online demo.

Many customers wish an external E-Mail Server for reason of security, firewall, and so on.

Is mail service activated on a domain? Make this more obvious
Make it obvious on the mail overview page whether or not the mail service is activated. Currently, you need to go into "mail settings" before you can tell. This is unintuitive.

Watchdog Module Apply Button
In the Watchdog module, reposition the apply button on the Resources Usage Statistics page (Statistics) so that it is possible to change the period dropdown without needing to scroll the page. Or maybe just format the four period options as links?

Open the drawer of options under a (sub)domain in the tab 'websites & domains' by default
The drawer is closed by default to save space in the case of multiple (sub)domains. This makes the most-used features of plesk for domains difficult to find for beginners.
