cloud storage for scheduled domain backups
You can store full server backups, manual and scheduled, and manual domain backups directly to cloud services but not scheduled domain backups. It's an obvious gap in functionality that could very easily be added and would make domain backups much more useful.
1 voteThis functionality exists in paid versions of cloud backup extensions. For example, for Amazon S3 or Microsoft OneDrive Backup extensions:
“Ability to store scheduled subscription’s backups in a remote cloud storage.”

Activation of backup for mailman and mail boxes separately
Currently you can only activate email backup in general.
The differentiation between mail boxes and mailman is not possible.
In my use case I only need a backup of the imap boxes and mailman increases the size of my backup very much1 voteYou can use “Exclude specific files from the backup” option with specified path to mailman directory. Something like /path_to_mailman/*

Please availlable export backup button in mssql databases like phpMyAdmin.
Please availlable export backup button in mssql databases like phpMyAdmin.
1 voteVerified in test environment that this feature already exists. You can import and export dumps through the "Databases" page in Plesk Windows just as you can in Linux. This includes MSSQL databases.

Add the possibility to exclude certain files of certain domain from server-wide backup
There is an option to exclude certain files of all domains from a server-wide backup, but no option to exclude certain files of some domains from a server-wide backup.
1 voteFor all or selected subscriptions you can use option -exclude-domain-file

backup keeps failing disk space
I have a 100gb ssd drive server. I have 64% of it used. I am no longer able to perform backups as it creates an error on starting the backup. There must be a way to do the backup site by site and then have the backup deleted after a successful transfer. I have setup the backup to a remote ftp server.

Integrate fullbackup.php into Plesk UI
I am posting this here because the dedicated KB page for the script fullbackup.php (https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213949545-Plesk-Server-Backup-Script) refers to a forum page that no longer exists (https://talk.plesk.com/threads/plesk-server-backup-script.247563/)
Plesk server-wide backups run into space & memory problems, so you developed the fullbackup.php utility.
Fullbackup.php just works, but being an "external" tool, its configuration (--per-domain etc), execution and output (the generated backup) are not recognized by Plesk UI.
You can have a 10-GB successful server-wide backup in the /dumps directory, generated by fullbackup.php: Plesk will ignore it and tell you that there are no backups.
I suggest that fullbackup.php is…
1 voteThis fullbackup.php script was developed many years ago for old Plesk versions where this script was really actual.
Since then, the backup manager has been very seriously redesigned and the best solutions from this old script have been included.
You can use pleskbackup utility with server option as alternative of this old script https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/cli-linux/using-command-line-utilities/pleskbackup-backing-up-content-and-configuration.74260/
Thank you for your suggestion, but the functionality of this old script will not be integrated into Plesk Ui.

Ability to exclude web access logs file from backup
The incremental backup of plesk works great except for only one thing: log file.
I find that on high traffic site, the backup will always backup ALL log file even if this is an incremental backup. This create a very large backup file even the site hasn't been changed at all.
The ability to exclude log from backup will help incremental backup run much faster and save more space.
1 votePlease refer to https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/administrator-guide/backing-up-and-restoration/backing-up-the-entire-server.59257/ to know how to exclude log files from backup.

Kindly give the option to backup the database file from server
In the server there is no any database backup option available.
This features is available in the others plesk pannels. So kindly provide the options to backup the database and also to backup the website in one backed up file also1 voteThis functionality is already implemented - https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/12.5/administrator-guide/website-management/website-databases/exporting-and-importing-database-dumps.69538/ To solve your issue, please contact your hosting provider (the company that hosts your website) and request support from them directly. We are the authors of the software you and your hosting provider are using, and unfortunately, we cannot help with this particular request because we do not host your website. We are closing your request as it doesn't include any software improvement proposal. -- IG

Provide the ability to script checking backup status
We have several Plesk servers. I would like to create a script that would be run daily on a separate monitoring server (Nagios) to check the status of the backups on each Plesk server we have. I think its not a good idea to only be notified by Plesk if Plesk thinks the backups had an error. If the task fails to run for any reason, no notification would be sent and we would not know that the backups didn't run. I would like Nagios to know that the backups were successful and alert me if they were not.
1 votePlease refer to Plesk Documentation https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/12.5/api-rpc/reference/managing-backups/retrieving-backup-task-status.44539/ to know how to get backup task status by API.

Allow Backups without including Mail
Either allow all stored mail to be scanned for viruses because established web sites may have mail stored before appropriate software was avaiable to remove it, or alow backups to not include any mail, because I cannot rid the problem from my backups without deleting my entire mail system for several web sites and starting over.
1 voteYou can backup your domain with the disabled option “Mail configuration and content” in Plesk Onyx 17.8

Allow backing up only mail configuration but not content
This was available in previous Plesk releases.
1 voteYou can still backup only mail configuration without content with —only-mail —configuration options for pleskbackup utility. More detail you can find here – http://docs.plesk.com/en-US/12.5/advanced-administration-guide-linux/backing-up-restoring-and-migrating-data/backing-up-data/specifying-data-for-backing-up.68839/

Backup Manager
When the admin backup the whole server in server repository, every subcription increases its disk space. I don't think this the right way.
It must not affects subscription's disk spaceYou must fix this.

Automated way of removing all Plesk Restore notifications in the panel
We do automated backup/restores of trial accounts, and the panel always displays restore notifications right in the Plesk Backup manager. Sometimes this goes up to dozens if not hundreds of notifications. We need an automated way of getting rid of those, either with a single "close all" (and ideally "close all successful") button, but we could live with a command line. Each notification can take a minute to delete, overheads the system, and an accumulation slows down the loading of the Backup Manager page a great deal.
1 voteNew backup error handling is already available since version 12.5. Let us know if it doesn’t help.

Dropbox overwriting the old backups.
Hi
No way to specify how many are created before overwriting the old back ups
I back up my website daily and I want to have at least 7 backups available in dropbox.
It should not overwrite my 7 old backups of same website.
Is there any other way?
Thank you
1 voteDropbox has a Version History feature that allows to recover any version of a file within past 30 days (for free account).
The feature’s advantage is that previous files are not counted in quota.
Dropbox Backup extension allows to restore it directly from Plesk.
See https://www.dropbox.com/help/11 for information about managing versions in Dropbox. -
Export Data from Filesystem
i.e. as the Backupfunction of Plesk.
But with the functionality to download a (zip/tar/...) archive with the files in it.For Example: I choose a folder to backup, click backup and get a compressed archive with the files.
1 voteWe think this function is available already
You can have two options:
1) Go Files, pick a folder and then do More > Add to Archive. It will give you .zip file you want
2) Do normal backup and then pick a required file or folder when restoringLet us know if you were looking for something else
