  1. Bring Debian 9 / Stretch to Plesk 17.5

Basically we shouldn't have to wait 3/4 of a year after Debian 9 was released in order to get Plesk to install on it (expected release date of Spring 2018), not when earlier versions have been far more prompt...

Debian 6 was released 6/2/2011 and Plesk 10.2.0 (with Debian 6 support) was released 6/4/2011... 59 days later.

Debian 7 was released 4/5/2013, Plesk 11.5.30 Update 3 (with Debian 7 support) was released 5/7/2013... 62 days later.

Debian 8 was released 26/4/2015, Plesk 12.5.30 (with Debian 8 support) was released 31/8/2015... 127 days later.

    Debian 9 was released 17/6/2017, Plesk 17.8…

Unfortunately this time Debian release occured after our major release in 2017 has been already shipped. As you noticed, previous Debian releases were in spring, so it matched our own release schedule quite well in the past and thus gap was short.

We generally add new OSes in new major releases to high volume of work required. So we will gladly add Debian 9 support into the next release, but we cannot afford interruption solely for Debian 9 support.

  3. Modify Resellers 'service_plan' from CLI

Now with CLI you can't modifies reseller service plans.

Only plans with 'admin' owner can be modify.

If you have much servers to manage and you need to apply some "cli" commands in all 'service_plan'. You can't do this.

Would be very good if "plesk bin serviceplan" do same action in any 'serviceplan' independent of the owner

  4. Conflict of "Domain of Server" and customer's one.

    Hello , together .

I just have this one problem where adding a domain into Plesk , which is already in use / taken by the Server itself .

How to add a domain is well explained in the help-video ...
but although the Server itself does own / use this one domain already , it is addable / markable for a customer . Of course the Server does keep owning it ; which again is not noted towards the admin / * creating it this new entry .

    P.S
Sorry for my school_english . Have a nice day !

  5. Send cron email when run manually from control panel

Actually the cron output is never sent by email if the job is manually run via Control Panel, making difficult to test the whole process.

  6. Prevent running of do-release-upgrade directly

Plesk adds its pretty text to the SSH greeting message. So, why don't hijacking into do-release-upgrade preventing to be run directly? As per KB https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213410369-How-to-perform-dist-upgrade-procedure-on-server-with-Plesk, to upgrade release you have to run a Plesk script; forgetting that and running do-release-upgrade may cause high troubles.

Prevent do-release-upgrade to be run directly or at least inject on it a clear warning message requesting confirmation.

  8. Modify Password reset link for customers

Please add ability to customize the password reset link sent when client requests for a password reset. For example, to allow the username to be auto populated into the password reset form when the user clicks on the link to reset his / her password.

  9. Make Firewall rules editable

Firewall Rules are a good chance to block securly "evil" IPs or Users.

But by now it's very hard to manage a firewall rule. Why I can't edit them? Just activate/deactivate and delete?! Why not edit?
I think that would be very easy to fulfill with very little effort but with great userfunction improvment.

  11. maintenance

    Hello
I create wordpress sites and all my hosting providers give me Plesk, who I appreciate a lot.
Unfortunately, you recently introduced Plesl Onyx on the Maintenance page that is activated during site refresh.
Some Plesk configurations on my host may not be perfect (we can not disable it) and this depends on the provider, but this Maintenance page has at least 2 serious defects:
    1) Does not display the home for the administrator while logged in to the site. Could not see changes to the home while I did.
    2) it only hides the homepage, but if a visitor…

  15. Domain size spaces

    Hi Plesk team,

I know that Plesk, calculating the weight space data use only for users with (ID >= 100) on linux system.

My proposal would be to add an option in the parameters (Pack of service) an option that would activate the calculations of all the actual weight size data even with users that they have the ID <100 for example root user who would add files in the " space vhosts.

I have append picture for example sample append new option if is possible.

    Cordialement,
    Matthew Lafrance

RDP is Windows technology for connection to Windows server with Microsoft GUI. For Linux we do not recommend to use any GUI due to the senseless spending of server resources. Also for connection to Linux GUI there are embedded technologies (not RDP). For managing Linux server you can use standard way – ssh connection.
    So, request is closed.

  19. Scheduled Tasks - Select Shell

Add 'shell' as an option when adding scheduled tasks on Linux.

I have noticed that the shell cronjobs are run under is not consistent currently.

It would be useful to have control over this.
