   We recently had an incident because this functionality is missing.

   Our SMTP/IMAP setup uses the "mail . ..." hostname. A config change caused our certificate to renew without the "mail." hostname at the next automated renewal.

   But the website monitoring uses "www . ..." and did not raise any alarm.
