  1. eventually fix the mailman bug which is there since plesk 8

    After every update to plesk I have to manually fix the mailman entry in /etc/postfix/master.cf
    It should read: mailman unix - n n - - pipe flags=Ru

    plesk updates change the flags=R which means that mailing lists are broken if they contain upper case characters.

    As far as I know problems in mixed cases in Plesk mail services have been fixed. Have you checked this issue in Plesk 12.5 Preview (http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP12/parallels-plesk-12.1-for-linux-change-log.html) ? If it is reproduced – please write step-by-step instruction how we can check it. Thanks.

  2. Application "Joomla 3.2.2" - Language and sample data BUG

    I've installed Joomla 3.2.2 as Application in Plesk Panel 11.5.
    I selected that I don't want to install sample data and that Joomla should be in German.

    But there are sample data.
    And German is selected as default language, but my administrator page is already in English.

    Is there a bug in Plesk-Application?

  3. Prevent warning "The following packages cannot be authenticated"

    This warning happens sometimes on some of our servers when the microupdates are installed automatically (I guess). This also happens when upgrading the underlying Debian version (yes, I know this is unfortunately not the preferred Parallels way).

    The packages don´t seem to be signed or the key missing (or is it already possible to import the key???), so this could be improved.

  5. Count mysql database Disk space on external Mysql database servers

    Currently external Mysql servers are not counted in the Disk space report and total data used per domain

  6. To not allow the selection of a local folder when selecting an external backup repository.

    When performing a backup or scheduled backup in Plesk 11 to an external FTP repository, you can define the backup destination as a local file within the folder structure you are backing up (as in you are using the external FTP repository to back up locally). This causes a backup file to be generated that is many GB in size. The domain and/or subscription then gets suspended. There should be a check in place to not allow backups have a destination within the file structure that is being backed up.

  7. Increase maximum supported IP addresses

    It looks like the change from Plesk 9.5.4 to 11.5.30 reduced the maximum allowed IP addresses down to 200 or so. When you try to re-read the IP addresses you get an error/crash. We used to be able to add as many IP's as we wanted, but I'm told its now limited to 200 or 256 (but I get a failure when I've added just 235 addresses). With the deployment of IPv6 we will need much more.

  8. add the free Clef service for simple, strong multifactor panel authentication without passwords

    Plesk Panel 11 is wonderful. But it could be even more wonderful if included strong, multifactor authentication.

    Clef’s (http://getclef.com) strong MFA is free, super easy to use, and provides next-gen authentication security without passwords.

    Plesk Panel + Clef would make a dynamic duo!

  9. Modification of application installation path

    For instance, Joomla installs to a subdirectory called /joomla which makes the URL of the Joomla site: www.domain.com/joomla

    That is not an acceptable path. Our customers are then moving the Joomla files into their root /httpdocs directory for a better URL for the site. After that, the default buttons in the panel no longer work. It would be great if you could make the path editable for the customer to continue to use the installation buttons to get to their site and administrator panel from the panel.

    This feature is already implemented in the upcoming Plesk 12.1 release. We encourage you to check the implementation in one of upcoming Plesk previews and let us know what you think. Everyone, thanks for your input and votes.

    Default installation path for all webapps is ‘/’

  10. Presence Builder should be OPTIONAL in any Plesk installation and not be included by default.

    Is really annoying to have "something" in your settings that you will never use.

  11. No http data mix on https default page from parallels

    There is this security warning in Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-does-content-isnt-secure-affect-my-safety when I access the default page of a server with fresh Plesk installation: https://my.ip.add.ress - reason is mixed content coming from parallels. Please fix this! Thanks!

    I think the upcoming 12.5 release shall solve your problem:
    1) you will have option of Import/Export database alone in “Databases”
    2) when doing new incremental backup, if no files were modified, then only database will be backed up

  15. Easier manual backup recovery process!

    The current method in which backups are managed is neat but extremely difficult to deal with. Even the documentation is a bit lousy. It would be great if there was a single, easy tool to extract a portion of a backup. This would make managing LARGE site backups much easier. I just went through pain when extracting files from the backup.

    You can probably preview our better recovery process in upcoming Plesk 12.0 version. It allows choosing selected parts of backup to recover (up to individual file).

    If you already tried Plesk 12.0, please tell us your opinion in https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10kOuXE5uFDtMf3SfqneS_CwlAxTHYl2eSFwJ-yNLAMg/edit

  17. Domain blacklist

    We would like customers to manage their domains themselves but limit them to a list of domains defined by the reseller/admin.

    It would be great if a customer could e.g. define himself which domain (alias) should belong to which hosting package.

    The problem at the moment is: If we give customer A the privileges to manage his domains, he could also add a foreign domain (NOT on the server) and configure mail accounts, e.g. *@ebay.com. The result would be that any mail another customer B who also uses our server sends to this domain could be "captured" by customer A.…

  18. Adjust column widths in the Domain Files table to handle "rwx rwx rwx"

    Currently, the Files table has 5 columns.

    The Name column has flexible width and takes up most of the table width.

    The Permissions column is fixed to contain the seetings "rwx r-x r-x ". However, if permissions are changed to "rwx rwx rwx" the column is too narrow and forces the cell to wrap, increasing row height and reducing visible rows.

    There is plenty of width in the table to handle this without wrapping. Could you re-set the column widths to cope with this please?

    Thankyou.

  19. Add support of google authenticator to improve security of login process

    "The Google Authenticator project includes implementations of one-time passcode generators for several mobile platforms, as well as a pluggable authentication module (PAM). One-time passcodes are generated using open standards developed by the Initiative for Open Authentication (OATH) (which is unrelated to OAuth).

    These implementations support the HMAC-Based One-time Password (HOTP) algorithm specified in RFC 4226 and the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) algorithm specified in RFC 6238."

  20. Protect plesk gui 11.5.30 with "basic auth" login (optional)

    Hi,

    I'm the only one with access to plesk gui and want a additional "basic auth" protection for 11.5.30. I have MANY access from foreign IPs to my plesk login! Every day IPs testing direct script access (old security holes?). A "basic auth" login will protect the gui for new security leaks.

    11.0.9 use as internal web server lighttpd. There you can make this simple steps to protect gui:

    go to: /etc/sw-cp-server/applications.d/plesk.socket.sh
    add:

    # Limit access to Admin
    auth.backend = "htpasswd"
    auth.backend.htpasswd.userfile = "/opt/psa/admin/htdocs/.htpasswd"
    auth.require = ( "/" =>
    (
    "method" => "basic",
    "realm" => "Your Title",
    "require" => "valid-user"…
