  1. MariaDB (MySQL) version selector

I tried to install MariaDB 10.1 instead of 5.5 that Plesk installs by default and I messed it all up, had to re-install Plesk. There should be a version selector during the installation.

There should be a full MariaDB integration because it has a lot of adventages in performance comparing to Oracle's MySQL and has a greater team. MariaDB 5.5 is so yesterday.

  2. Manage manual added Databases (without Plesk)

It's not possible to manage Databases that had been added manually without Plesk 12. I can't say that i want to use a specific Database in a "profil" Domain-Database Setting.

It would be really nice to add a Option to "add existing / import" a Database the Plesk GUI would like the same but no checking of " Database with requested name already exists".

Now i can't do a fully Backup with all Databases, manuall with plesk added Databases are missing!

    TIA

You can import and edit databases via PhpMyAdmin in Plesk. If you need to open PhpMyAdmin just open “Databases” in domain controls of selected domain, create database and click at “Webadmin” link in the right side of the corresponding row in the list.

Since version 12.1 in addition to PhpMyAdmin Plesk contains own tools for import and export databases, which are available via Plesk UI. Please visit the following forum threads to learn how to access Plesk 12.1 preview:

We would appreciate hearing your feedback on implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!
