Return backup file name features to 12.5
I know that the backup feature was rewritten in 12.5, but it is very difficult to easily identify various server and individual site backups on a remote FTP drive now that all you see displayed in the UI is the date / time. The backup features of 12.0 that included adding a prefix to the file name and also being able to actually see the file name is sorely missed.
27 votesThere are a number of reasons. The length of the paths to store backups is limited on Windows, complication of the structure due to the introduction of incremental backups, simplify backup representation in UI (after increments appeared, file names do not become human readable).
Support of prefixes makes life very difficult due to these reasons, and the rotation of backups based on prefixes in general has become a puzzle.
So we went to a small degradation, which may be solved elementary by user – putting backups in its own subdirectories. You can discussion this issue on our talk.plesk.com .

Possibility to remove FTP-Repo settings
If the FTP-Repo has settings, there are no possibility to delete this settings. Button for reset settings (to blank) would be nice.

Bakup log rotation
Plesk does not rotate backup logs and we needs to delete them by manual.
Backup log might be very big, therefore Plesk should rotate backup logs automatically to prevent oppression of disc capacity by increasing backup logs.Related KB: http://kb.odin.com/en/113748/

Multiply backups local rule + ftp rule
option 2 set 2 or more backup rules.
now its very time comsumming to download a backup from a FTP location if you want to restore 1 single subscription. My idea is to make 2 rules. So I can restore the backup of the previous day from local. And if I need an older backup I can download it from a FTP location.
1) 14+ days backup retention backup to FTP backup
2) 1 day backup retention on local serverAt this point I only can setup 1, local or FTP.

Start the backup only if your server has the specified amount of free disk space (in megabytes) *
why MB?
why is the input field so small?
why only 5 digits?we need GB!!! or?
42 votesFrom the comments it became clear that the reason for this feature request was that only a limited number of digits could be entered into the input field. This however has long been resolved. Technically it should be quite easy to enter MB instead of GB, too. Changing the field to GB will actually decrease flexibility, because the granularity decreases. For that reason we are closing this feature request.

This is why I see that --no-zip doesn’t work in the right way, is not useful that Plesk use a switch like --no-zip and the destination direc
Plesk 12 on Windows
Actually, pleskbackup utility uses a flag named --no-zip where files into the destination compressed folder are not previously compressed, but Windows OS read the .zip extension of the folder like a compressed file and this increase so much the backup time (this because become a great I/O consumption).
I think this is not much useful, the correct behavior should be that when a --no-zip switch is used, the destination is not a ZIP file but a standard directory!
In case of servers where many domains with thousands of little files, use a "normal copy" instead of…

Allow full backup
Currently you can only backup configurations and customer files. While I have installed a few Plesk extensions and PHP extensions it is necessary for me to backup the full server. Allow a option to backup/restore full server with all components.
1 voteSorry, for backing up complete server, you need to use appropriate software, i.e. you can try Acronis backup (http://www.acronis.com/).
PLesk backup will remain focused on content and settings, but not on Plesk distribution, installed components and etc

A License Model for HotBackup Standby
I would like to run a live Backup Server which is synchronous to the real server. If the real server goes down, i would like to change the ip and go online again. For that concept, I need now two full Plesk Licenses. Is there a way to get a cheaper license for the standby backup instance?
1 votePlesk is software per server so its license available only for one server. If you want get cheap licenses then we suggest to use Plesk for virtual servers.

Backup: limit backup operation by time period
Server-wide setup to avoid users/customers to do backups on some time intervals. avoiding cpu usage on backups on premium time, leaving more resources for webserver related processes.

Migration and Restore Troubleshooter
The Migration Manager has become better over the years, but there are still occasions in which restores and migrations simply fail due to error messages that do not make sense. We had similar issues with web configuration files, and thanks to the Troubleshooter Extension they could be greatly minimised.
Migration Manager could benefit from a similar extension - perhaps on both the source and destination server and correct problems.

Provide sufficient data in site backup file to re-register Joomla installed Application
With sufficient backup file (info) configuration about an installed Application (in this case, Joomla) it should be possible to "export and import" a site with a Panel installed application and have that application reappear in the Plesk server where the site is "restored". Such information is currently written to the site backup file for WordPress.
Don't necessarily need "Joomla Toolkit" ala "Wordpress Toolkit", but having sufficient configuration information about an installed application should be usable by the Plesk restore (CLI) process to restablish the previously installed application in the "new" Plesk server.

cloud storage for photos - best option?
After years of storing photos on disks, I've started looking into subscribing to a monthly cloud storage service to back up my photos. However, I recently saw a service called CloudBacko (http://free.cloudbacko.com/?r=1d) that offers huge amounts of cloud storage at free of cost. How reasonable? Does anyone else use cloud storage and, if so, which service would you recommend and why.

PLEASE SPANISH ASSISTANCE
2 votesCould you please elaborate what you mean here:
a. Better Spanish language in Plesk product?
b. Ability to have response in Spanish from Parallels support?
c. Ability to file Spanish proposals at plesk.uservoice.com?UPD: Unfortunately we have to decline this suggestion because we can only read and respond in English and we do not plan to officially support feature suggestions in Spanish at plesk.uservoice.com.

Manage folder for download dump backup
Actually, you can't manage folder destination when you download a backup from plesk interface
Add an option in plesk interface to define the folder path for :
Full backups -> /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp
Domains backups -> /usr/local/psa/tmpHowever when you download backup files from the Plesk Control Panel, they are copied to a temporary location as a temporary file (these parameters are not manageable) and if you have small partition genrally /dev/md1 not enought than 18 Go, you can block all plesk server
