R1Soft server backup manager
R1 Soft SBM is a stable and effective way of backing up the full server, and per user / per domain accounts. It is long overdue for support in PLESK, in the same way (and for the same reasons) that other major control panels already implement it.

We have it backing up 3 Onyx servers (ubuntu 20.04) and there are some hiccups now and again, would be great to manage these outside of ssh as we currently do.

Plesk could do with more backup options. R1Soft has had integration with CPanel for years so I can't imagine it's too much of an ask for Plesk to also implement it.

We really need this implemented as it will improve not only filesystem and database backup but also server settings.

I think this is an interesting idea, I used r1soft extensively in cpanel, it's very simple and it works well, maybe it's an alternative to the existing backup in plesk and an additional plugin would be interesting for the system.
