Amazon AWS S3, change the Storage class via Amazon aws s3 extension.
Hello Guys,
Would be amazing to be able to change the Store class via the extension itself.
Via aws here an example how it's made: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20064275/how-to-change-default-storage-class-on-aws-s3
Thank you for your input. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases, if it will be popular.
Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

Yes this extension needs to have intelligence around geo location, as well as storage class.

I cant believe this is NOT out the box but I MUST be able to select a region or the data transfer cost from eg East1 to West1 are crazy.

Amazon Toolkit should redirected to the s3-backup extension settings after installing so you could modify things like bucket, path from the beginning.
At the moment it gets configured automatically and the only way to change it is going to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > Remote Storage Settings > Amazon S3 Backup. -

Agreed - I find the ability to specify the storage region is really important. I need to store UK user data in a UK data located store for data protection reasons.

Totally agree, the extension is lacking any options. Looking forward for some needed development on it

the current implementation does not offer a number of options for openstack SWIFT compatible storage, notably tenant name/region. but among others - IMHO there should be a mechanism or option to provide the full range of parameters described in the spec.
