  1. Mailpile support (secure mail server option)

In light of the Snowden fallout, I hope that Plesk will add support for Mailpile (http://www.mailpile.is) or something similar for secure e-mail.

    Thank you for your input!

Mailpile is meant to be a local e-mail client which is installed to the personal computer (https://www.mailpile.is/faq/#wha) and secure your mail by fetching it from server, deleting from server and securely storing on local disk. It is not considered as webmail client which is installed on the server. It works with mail server over standard protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP) which are supported by Plesk, so you may install use it without any limitations.
Though, as it has the web interface and written on Python, it may be installed to a web server, but it’s not recommended for security and privacy reasons.

Unfortunately, we have no plans to integrate it with Plesk panel.

  2. to crete a GUI for the spamfilter.

Within the GUI it should be possible to manage the most common tasks of SpamAssassin like the following:

    • sa-update set up a cronjob for downloading new rules and scores automatically
    • sa -learn spamfilter training for side/server wide configuration -managing of black and whitelists -adding custom rules and scores

A GUI for the spamfilter in conjunction with the planned GUI for the Greylisting will help administrators to reduce the load of incoming spam in a more comfortable way

  3. Use the same license on different servers

    Hello,

Please add the possibility to purchase an extended license for mail servers with Plesk.

It would be helpful if I prefer to separate my mail services from my main hosting.

This feature request is based on an insufficient use of the PHP mail() function. The mail() function has a fifth parameter by which users can easily set the "from" address (which is referred to as the "return path" in this feature request). If the "from" address is not explicitely set in that PHP function, PHP uses the system user und which it is executed as the mail sender. This is an expected behavior. It is left up to the software developer to fit his application with a suitable configuration option to set a sender address. This is nothing that webspace control panel can dictate. For that reason we must decline this request.

  6. Advanced configuration for webmail

Provide a configuration page for e.g. module psaroundcube

  7. No Auto-Reply if part of a forwarding list

We have an email adress (info@…). All mails to "info" are forwarded to 4 individual persons.
If a person is away and activates an auto-replay, everyone gets this auto-replay. It would be nice, if one can supress the auto-replay in such cases.
    Example:
Mr. Smith is out of office for 2 weeks. He has an auto-reply "Please contact info@…". This message will also be sent to every person who sends a mail to "info@…".
(Our workaround: removing smith from the list and add him after switching off the auto-reply. But in this time he misses all mails.)

  9. use nginx server as a proxy for mail service

The ability to use nginx as mail proxy.

For example, as Postfix does not support SNI, such feature would be useful

  10. Support of JMAP

"JMAP is intended to be a new standard for email clients to connect to mail stores. It therefore intends to primarily replace IMAP + SMTP submission. It is also designed to be more generic such that it can be extended with contacts, calendars in the future (replacing CardDAV/CalDAV)." (http://jmap.io/)

Sounds good to have it ASAP it is released.

3 years after its invention support of JMAP is limited to "experimental" support in a rare number of software products. As Plesk does not provide mail server software themselves, but merely is a comfortable user interface to such software, JMAP will not become a reality in Plesk itself, but maybe in Postfix, QMail, Dovecot or a then new mail daemon application on servers some day in the future. In that case we'll be happy to review this topic again. But for now, it is just nothing that is close to becoming a reality on the web, neither are there suitable server software packages for which a user interface could be developed. For these reasons we must decline this request.

  13. Function to set automatically or by clicking delete Trash and Spam mails of selected subscriptions

Plesk is easy to use for everyone.
But you can't easily delete the spam mails or trash of all your customers mailboxes.

A new feature where you can set: Delete items in Spam older than 90 Days and delete items in trash older than 60 Days for specific subscriptions will be really nice.

...much customers let spam and trash boxes grow up to 5000+ Mails - that's using resources for nothing.

  16. Broaden the search field, not just email addresses/users (include email forwarding section")

    Good afternoon!

Is it possible to search for a user to which groups he/she belongs ?

E.g. if a user is in 5 different mail groups and I search for his/her email address/name, I would like to know in which email forwarding groups he is included or which mail groups he belongs to.

    Does this make sense?
Thanks in advance for your response!

  18. user email expiration date

As we work a lot with temporary trainees and external employees. In the past it happend we occasional forgot to disable an email account after they had left the company due to other important business activities. This was a security risk and this made me think of a solution.

I know that in Microsoft Active Directory an option exists where you can set a time limit on an user account. As an example you can set that new account to expire after a certain specific date in the future. Once that date has been reached the account will be set…

  20. Ability to set the tags to emails which are did not pass the DKIM and SPF checks

If DKIM or SPF test failed and DMARC enabled with quarantine policy the message will be sent directly to spam. Need the possibility to add tags and rules for messages, for example add tag to subject [DKIM FAILED] but save the message in the inbox folder (not send to spam)
