Add TRIGGER privilege management for database users
Some of our customers are asking for a way to define triggers on their MySQL/MariaDB databases. Plesk does not grant the TRIGGER privilege on database users it creates.
Modifying the GRANTs for those users created by Plesk is not a viable workaround, because the permissions get reset if the user is later modified at all via Plesk.
The only known workaround is to create and manage a separate database user outside of Plesk, which is obviously contrary to the purpose of having Plesk on a server in the first place.
Please consider adding TRIGGER privilege management to Plesk, or else…
14 votesThis feature request has been reviewed. The "trigger" privilege is included in the user privileges section. The necessary privilege can be selected in the "Structure Access" section of each database user (please see attached screenshot). In the review we have verified that the trigger privilege is fully operational by using the examples from the official MariaDB https://mariadb.com/kb/en/trigger-overview/ documentation, section "Creating a Trigger". This was possible to do with a normal database user that has the "Trigger" privilege checked in the "Structure Access" section in the database user configuration page of Plesk.

MySQL + MariaDB update!
Hi. Please update MySQL + MariaDB. 10.3.32 verion is very old! thanks
5 votesMariaDB 10.5 is supported according to: https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/software-requirements/#s4-2-1
Plesk doesn't ship MariaDB/MySQL, it only downloads it from original OS vendor repo and it is quite likely it may be outdated there (especially for older OS). If your OS comes with MySQL/MariaDB. 10.3.32 verion, then Plesk would run MySQL/MariaDB. 10.3.32 verion.
Also you can upgrade it by yourself with help of this KB article: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213403429--How-to-upgrade-MySQL-5-5-to-5-6-5-7-or-MariaDB-5-5-to-10-x-on-Linux-

Edit database connection information
Please add a feature in which is possible to edit database's connection information.
e.g Be possible to add port connection info alongside db server hostname, or add a field in which any note could be set.
4 votesPort and hostname cannot be edited, because they are set by the service and the host configuration. If you wish to change the hostname, please set the new hostname in /etc/hosts and edit it in Plesk as described in https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213941265--How-to-change-or-get-the-server-hostname-on-Plesk-server. If you wish to change the database port, this must be done in the database configuration and depends on database type and version. Please refer to the man pages of the database server that your system is using. Normally, it is not advised to change the port.

Remote access to databuse using TLS
Plesk allows you to limit the remote access to MariaDB to only certain IP addresses via Databases > Database Users > Access control > Allow remote connections from. But, the connection does not use TLS. Plesk should support using a TLS connection.
1 voteSSL/TLS connections are supported since Plesk Obsidian 18.0.52, published April 25th, 2023. For details please see https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/administrator-guide/80017/#securing-connections-to-a-remote-mysql-database-server

ArangoDB and ArangoSearch
ArangoDB and ArangoSearch would be an excellent addition to Plesk. It's probably the best NoSql database and text search this is practical for smaller users while being scalable. Unlike some options for search it doesn't require Java since it's written in C.
1 voteYou can use them in the scope of docker Plesk feature. Just install Docker Plesk extension, then ArangoDB and ArangoSearch docker containers.

Customize port for PHPMyAdmin
Hello,
Currently there is a possibility to reach PHPMyAdmin without logging in to Plesk, but it will be nice if you add the possibility to customize the port for PHPMyAdmin as well.

Show MS SQL server version
When I try to import a dumb, the server refuses because my local MS SQL server has a version larger than the hosting's server.
So, it would be nice to show the version.1 voteIf you go to Tools&Settings > Server Components, you will see the version of MSSQL server there.
