  2. Backup/Restore a table or DB to file

    Backup / Restore manager is fine, but what if we only want to restore one / several tables, not the whole Database?
    Add feature to restore single tables only.

    Or even more flexible: add the possibility to restore a DB dump to a file. This file can then be searched / adjusted to restore specific tables only. Once it is adjusted we could load it in the DB / perform the restore.

  3. Change the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups

    At the moment the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups is the following:
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip>
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip1>
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip2>

    This means that volumes .zip1, .zip2 can not be extracted after their downloading because they have an incorrect zip extension format.

    The idea to change the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups to:
    <DateFormateHHMMss>.Zip
    <DateFormateHHMMss>1.Zip
    <DateFormateHHMMss>2.Zip

    That the multi-volume backups have the correct zip format and can be extracted.

  4. Allow users to add (dynamic) prefix (e.g. date) to backup filename

    Applies to: I'm currently using a paid Dropbox account as an offsite backup, but this is relevant for all (offsite) backups.

    What happens: When running full server backups, Plesk currently creates a file called server.domain.tld.tar.

    The problem: When scheduling (daily/weekly/monthly) full server backups, the new backup file will have the exact same name as the previous backup file.

    The result: When selecting e.g. the 12 latest backups to be saved, Plesk backup manager will display these backups as individual entries, but in reality when using a service like Dropbox to create automated off-site backups, the next backup overwrites the previous…

  5. Adding functionality to restore a non-existing domain or subscription from a server-wide Plesk backup

    I suggest adding functionality to restore a domain or subscription from a server-wide backup on the Plesk server, where this domain or subscription is missing (for example, it was deleted before). This is very inconvenient when you have to create a nonexistent subscription, then restore it, and then separately restore the domain in it.

  6. Allowing the clients restoring the backups on the remote server via FTPS

    Add to Plesk functionality to allow the clients to restore the backups on the remote server via FTPS.
    The administrator can create backups and clients can restore their own parts of backups. As how it is done with common backups on local storage

  7. Remove Local Backups Automatically after a Restoration

    When you want to Restore a Backup from FTP, first this backup it's downloaded to the Local Plesk Server and then the restoration starts.

    At the end of the restoration process, the Local Backup it's still there, maybe it's better to save this space deleting this Local Backup and maintain only the FTP backup which was downloaded.

  8. Add ability to check backup duration and when the task has been completed

    Backup task may increase server load. In order to balance it, it is required understand how long task has been running.
    Currently it is possible to check only from log files, which is not very convenient. Please, add ability to simply check this info in Plesk UI.

  9. Add ability to obtain information about Backup Settings via CLI.

    Please, add a feature to be able to check Backup manager settings (including Scheduled backup settings), server-wide and for the particular domain via CLI. It would be very convenient for server administration to get information about backup settings in one place: for example, if there are multiple domains with different settings.

  10. Allow to exclude patterns from full backups granualy for costumers and resellers

    Allow excluding patterns from full backups with more control.
    For example, exclude pattern A only from Reseller Accounts and pattern B only from Costumers, etc.

  13. Separate rotation for backups hosted in clouds

    When on Plesk server there is not much space, and on clouds (like Amazon S3), there is a lot - the separate rotation for backups would be useful: to set on Plesk to rotate frequently, and in the cloud - far more rarely.

  14. Give better information regarding backups created in higher level.

    When a customer in Plesk removes a subscription-level backup which is a part of full-server backup (or reseller's backup and some customer's backup in case of special rights), it is not displayed anymore in subscription's backup manager. However, it is not actually removed from the server. This confuses customers because they are not aware of what actually occupies so much disk space.

    Feature suggestion: make some note/banner in customer's backup manager to inform them that there are some backups which were created on a higher level.
    Or
    Prevent backup deletion if created at an higher level.

  15. Restore Backup to alternative domain

    When restoring a Backup of the domain it would be beneficial if you could restore it to a different domain.
    There sometimes is the case that data has to be extracted from an old backup, but the current domain state can't be overwritten.

  16. Allow configuring additional storage for Acronis Backup extension users

    Acronis allows setting up additional storages for backups https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberCloud/#managing-locations-and-storage.html

    Currently, the way Plesk defines integration with Acronis, Acronis extensions users can't do this.

  17. Amazon S3 Backup - Add capability to select the region when creating S3 Buckets using root account credentials

    Add capability to select the region when creating S3 Buckets using root account credentials

    I tried to change this by modifying extension files but all the files are encrypted.

  18. Change the backup structure so all files and directories regarding one backup are located in one archive

    It'd be easier for to have a directory created for each backup instead of having all the files in, for example, /var/lib/psa/dumps/.
    For example, I'd like to have a structure like this:
    backup_2011300010.tgz that contains all the files and directories for this backup.

  19. Partial backup removal

    It would be useful to be able to remove from a server-wide backup only particular domain's data (such as mailbox accounts) as it will help to manage server's disk space in a more efficient way and store only needed data

  20. Linode Object Storage to store backups.

    Add a possibility to store backups on Linode Object Storage. As it is done for DigitalOcean Spaces, Amazon S3 Backup, Google Drive Backup
