Unfortunately, we have to close your request, because over the years it has not become quite popular for further implementation.

  3. Add possibility to restore password of FTP user at FTP backup repository

Add to Plesk option to retrieve password for FTP user specified in Plesk > Tools & Settings > Backup manager > Remote storage settings > FTP. The use-case is when user forgot his password for FTP repository and wants to restore it from Plesk interface.

I think it is a bad idea to remove them automatically because these pre-upgrade dumps can be used for recovering your Plesk after serious crashes, unsuccessful updates and upgrades, for restoring missing data, etc.
So, you can always remove these files manually if you are sure.

  6. check backupsize befor restore and copy to server from external ftp

there wanted to be a check that first checks if enough free memory is available on the server before the recovery starts.
it is quite possible that backups fetched from an external ftp storage have around 50 to 100 gb or more and grow to over 200 gb after unpacking, just to recover the one file, unless it is done so well that only that one file is fetched from the archive that is also needed, e.g. when recovering one or more files for a web space.

It would be good to have more options for storing backups on external servers.

Not sure that this may be automated. Firstly, not everyone wants this. And secondly, what is the default time to assign this Scheduled backup?
I think you can use Event manager with the corresponding command for enabling this backup in case of triggering Event “Subscription created”.

  10. Service Plans: add possibility to select several backup options.

In Service Plans, under "Additional Services", add the possibility to select several backup options, such as:

    • Acronis Backup in case that Extension is active, just like for WP Toolkit and Let's Encrypt. If not selected, the service would not be accessible to the Customers having a Subscription with that Service Plan, while the content of these Subscriptions would still be backed up by Acronis.
    • The options to backup to clouds, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3 in Plesk 17.8.

This would help to better differentiate between different Service Plans on the same Plesk server.

  13. Check backup and restore utility for FULL Server.

    Hi,

When using backup/restore to restore everything on the server it doesn't work.
For example: I had a problem ith the server and I had to reinstall it.
So I created a backup via backup manager
When I tried to upload it gave error 404 (due to file too big).
Then I had to copy the backup folder directly, ok, so I went to backup manager and tried to restore everything.

The server was configured equally, name, applications, everything including same versions.
The restore reseted all passwords, mysql, email accounts and DNS was not restored correctly.

I have 2 clients on my server and when I configure the dropbox, one client sees the other's dropbox account.
That is a total disaster in terms of privacy.
It would have to be configured per client.

  20. Increments should be relative to the last full backup, not to the previous increment

Now, Plesk performs a multi-level incremental backup because it increases restore times, for example if you schedule a full backup every week, you will have

    day 0 - full backup
day 1 - first increment (diff with day 0)
day 2 - second increment (diff with day 1)
    ...
day 6 - last increment (diff with day 6)

Increments should be relative to the last full backup:

    day 0 - full backup
day 1 - first increment (diff with day 0)
day 2 - second increment (diff with day 0)
    ...
day 6 - last increment (diff with day 0)

The described concept is a differential backup, which is different from the concept of incremental backup applied in Plesk.

Current incremental backup works exactly as intended, minimizing volume of backup if no changes performed between two increments. We don’t intend to change it now
