  2. Add support for XHProf/XHGui

It would be nice to have XHProf/XHGui for PHP profiling out of box since this feature maybe very useful for developing PHP-based site.

Both, XHProf and XHGui, are popular only among a very limited, special interest user community. We're afraid that as this feature request only got 2 votes in 2 years it is hard to justify the investment into developing an out-of-the-box installation routine for these two components.

Luckily, XHProf is available as a PECL extension. PECL extensions can be installed in Plesk using the PECL installer through "Tools & Settings" > "General Settings" > "PHP Settings" > Your PHP version > "Manage PECL Packages".

XHGui is more tricky. It requires MongoDB and an installation through Github sources. However, users who are so knowledgeable and experienced that they use XHProf or XHGui for their work will have no difficulties in installing either tool from the console. Please refer to one of the many XHGui tutorials available online.

  3. LetsEncrypt confirmation form is very badly designed

The LetsEncrypt enabling confirmation form is terrible.

First off, it requires that the user wait for something before they hit Continue, while the Continue button is readly enabled and very prominent. The instruction to wait on DNS change, is described in a tiny final sentence on the form. This is as bad UX as it gets.

Also, it doesn't describe how the user should check whether the change (adding the TXT record) was completed.

There's also two Cancel buttons for some reason.

We have tested different scenarios but were unable to reproduce a scenario that is described in this feature request. Without detailed further information what is meant it is not possible to follow-up on this suggestion at this time. For that reason we must decline this request.

In the nearest future, we plan to stop shipping MyLittleAdmin with Plesk. This is because MyLittleAdmin is not in active development, and has  known security issues. Instead, Plesk will provide links to downloadable  clients and instructions on how to connect the client to the Plesk  server. This change is currently scheduled to take place with the release of Plesk Obsidian 18.0.53 (early June 2023).

  10. Smartermail posting option

We are using Plesk with remote smartermail server. When creating a mailing list in Plesk, only the Moderator can send "Post" to that mailing list by default. We manually have to go into smartermail as domain admin and change the the Posting to "Anyone" which should be the default settings. See for details https://help.smartertools.com/SmarterMail/v2/Default.aspx?qq=%2FSmarterMail%2Fv2%2FTopics%2FDomainAdmin%2FLists%2FGeneralSettings.aspx
We would like to have this option available in Plesk.

This feature request is mainly about a default configuration request of Smartermail, an external component. It also did not gain popularity during the past years. And as mentioned in the comments, Smartermail has already improved their product to include more options in the settings. For these reasons we must decline the request.

  18. In domain logs allow select all function in order to copy to firewall rules

This feature requests comes from having to manually copy and paste bad IP's from the domain log files. It would be a request that when you carried out a search for say POST /xmlrpc.php HTTP/1.0 or GET /wp-login.php HTTP/1.0 from brute force hacking or malware bots you can easily just select all, then paste this over to the block list in the Firewall rules.

This request only received 2 votes during 3 years. It did not become popular. It may also not be the best possible choice to block individual IPs like suggested as attackers frequently change IPs which will easily result in hundreds or thousands of blocked IPs in the firewall. That again will slow down network traffic. Instead we suggest to use Fail2Ban that comes with Plesk to automatically block attacker IPs. Fail2Ban has the capability to analyze log files automatically, to identify trouble sources and to ban these IPs for a pre-defined duration.

This request has been reviewed and tested. It was found that the removal of an additional FTP user happens almost instantly. Displaying a progress indicator would slow this process down and only cost a user valuable work time. Also, the result can immediately be seen on the list of FTP users from where the user was removed. This feature request did not gain popularity over 3 years, so we must decline it.
