Create .7Z dumps of databases
Within Plesk it is possible to create a dump of a (SQL Server) database. Plesk then seems to use 7Zip to create a .ZIP file. It would be nice if it was possible to choose between the .ZIP or the .7Z file format as .ZIP is more compatible, but 7Z compresses such database dumps up to 10 times better.
And of course you would need to be able to import 7Zipped dumps also.9 votesThank you for your input! We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

Would you please upgrade PostageSQL?
PostageSQL provides some powerful function to process non-relational data (eg: "jsonb") after version 9.4.
Would you please upgrade that?
Thanks.4 votesIf you mean PostgreSQL, we support 9.4 version in the current 12.5 version – https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/12.5/software-requirements/#s4-2-1 and upcoming Plesk Onyx – https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/17.0/software-requirements/#s4-2-1
We will officially support next versions if many people will support your request. But I think that you can try to use 9.5 version right now. It should work, but we have not tested it yet.

Secure myLittleAdmin connections
I just installed myLittleAdmin into several of our Plesk servers only to find out that each customer on the server would need to create a new DNS record for mssql.domain.com for it to work. I also found that if the client's site is not secured with an SSL cert, myLittleAdmin won't be secured either. I suggest that myLittleAdmin be updated so that it uses the base URL of the server, which is SSL secured. Or at the very least, identify how to secure access to myLittleAdmin via the server's SSL cert even if the customer's site isn't secured.

LDAP Server
I would like to have the option for setting up an ldap server. Of course with an ui-manager like ldapadmin. Just the way like MySQL works (MySQL with PHPmyAdmin).
Thank You

Hide/Show Database Servers for clients
Administrator should have the possibility to make Database Servers hidden from Clients.
My scenario is:
1 or more servers that are intended for Web only (Nginx+Apache+PHP/Ruby/Python)
2 or more servers for Databases (MySQL / could be PostgreSQL also)In the Database Servers, the administrators should be able to select visible servers for clients.
Why? Ideal is to hide the localhost server when only external are to be used. Some DB servers may get to full and you want the clients to select only from lower used ones. You have demands from different clients to support older versions of MySQL for…

MySQL-Config default to innodb_file_per_table with datadir
Take some influence to MySQL-Konfiguration and always default to "innodbfileper_table= true" and "datadir=/var/lib/mysql/data".
Makes optimization of tables and space-reclaim with larger databases possible. Might be a problem of bootstapping but is worth the effort.

MYSQL Performance Tuning and Monitoring
t would be a good idea to have an SQL section where users can run optimization scripts like MYSQLTUNER etc and enter suggestioned changes in a GUI that directly change the mysql.conf directly and correctly.
An ability to monitor performance and tweak would be ideal, making the task of SQL performance monitoring and tweaking far easier.
Also optimize commands and other tasks could be run for this panel.
as well as optimize and the ability to add it to cron for weekly or monthly.

Option to shrink MSSQL Database log
Many a times during database updates / ddl script executions the log file of MSSQL database becomes too large. There should be an option to shrink the log files. Currently this feature is disabled for both SQL Server Management Studio and Query.
23 votesThank you for your input. We will consider adding this functionality in the future releases.

website copy should also copy related database(s)
Right now "Website copying" feature does not copy database(s) that related to the website that will be copied.
It would be great if Plesk will suggest to copy the website's database(s) if there are any.
It is understood that in general such feature can not guarantee that copied website will work with the copied database. However it will simplify web developer's work.

Multiple MySQL Versions configureable over Panel
I'd be happy if you could integrate multiple MySQL Versions into Plesk. Each Customer should be able to choose his MySQL. Also choosing more than only one version should be implemented.
146 votesThank you for your input. We will consider the possibility of implementing this feature in upcoming releases.
Since Plesk Onyx panel admin will be able to install different MySQL versions as a Docker containers, then the DB servers can be connected as remote DB to Plesk.

Add support for more DBs
When I first saw the option of create DBs, I thought it was something like I'm suggesting. MongoDB, MariaDB, CouchDB, etc, etc. This will be super cool. :)
278 votesThe previous status was set by mistake.
Due to the changes in MongoDB’s licensing we are no longer able to consider this as a potential feature to be added to our product.
Please continue to vote if you would like to use CouchDB in Plesk.
