I have 2 clients on my server and when I configure the dropbox, one client sees the other's dropbox account.
That is a total disaster in terms of privacy.
It would have to be configured per client.

  3. Increments should be relative to the last full backup, not to the previous increment

Now, Plesk performs a multi-level incremental backup because it increases restore times, for example if you schedule a full backup every week, you will have

    day 0 - full backup
day 1 - first increment (diff with day 0)
day 2 - second increment (diff with day 1)
    ...
day 6 - last increment (diff with day 6)

Increments should be relative to the last full backup:

    day 0 - full backup
day 1 - first increment (diff with day 0)
day 2 - second increment (diff with day 0)
    ...
day 6 - last increment (diff with day 0)

The described concept is a differential backup, which is different from the concept of incremental backup applied in Plesk.

Current incremental backup works exactly as intended, minimizing volume of backup if no changes performed between two increments. We don’t intend to change it now

  4. Ability to exclude web access logs file from schedule backup setting

The incremental backup of plesk works great except for only one thing: log file.

I find that on high traffic site, the backup will always backup ALL log file even if this is an incremental backup. This create a very large backup file even the site hasn't been changed at all.

The ability to exclude log from "scheduled backup" will help incremental backup run much faster and save more space.

There's already an option for "MANUAL" server backup. But not for scheduled / customer / reseller backup. Please enable this option for them too.

  6. Enable additional Schedule Backup with or without Full Backup

Enable additional Schedule Backup and provide an option to disable the obligation to make a Full Backup (letting user the option to create additional Incremental Backups, without messing things like repeated Full Backups). This already happends if the Admin and Client both setup Backups, it create multiple Full Backups which is not necessary since Admin Backups are create in behalf user.

Avoiding an additional full backup of a subscription when there is a full backup of the server cannot be considered reasonable for various technical and access permission reasons. It would bring about a large number of disadvantages for users, e.g. very long backup and restore times. It can also not be done for security reasons, because an administrator can and will have other security settings in place for the server backup that should not be diminished by subscription users. For the other aspects mentioned, please see the Uservoice references shown in prevous status updates. Also, regarding the very low number of votes on this feature request and that Plesk is continously improving backup functionality including more versatile options as described in previous status updates, we must decline this request.

  9. Fix bugs in Backup Manager

    • when backups fail with the message "file changed as we read it", there should be a hint to lock domain during backup
    • deleting a backup from ftp says it is successful but stays there (Management Interface and FTP)
    • when deleting a backup from an incremental chain, there should be a warning that all following backups will be removed as well (since data would be inconsistent otherwise). Or maybe use a different color or section in the deletion dialog displaying all backups going to be deleted

  11. Move backup compressed file from /httpdocs to backup manager pool

Occasionally we need to move whole subscription between servers. We use the target ftp account as ftp storage on source server.

So, functionality that could allow us to move this compressed .tar file from /httpdocs/mybackupfolder to backup manager pool available for restore would be great

  17. Backup orphan database (not linked to a website)

    Hi,
I use Drupal CMS to create my wbesites
I use the Drupal multisite functionality :
    - only one installation of Drupal on a main domain
    - a folder with the custom modules and templates for each additional website
    - each additional website is an alias of the main installation
    - a database for each additional website

So, with the Plesk backup functionnality, I cannot backup my databases because there are not linked to a domain

    Thanks,

It is highly recommended that the backup files can be directly accessed via ftp same as direct admin control panel.

  20. Compress backups while doing

Actually backups are compressed at the end. My uncompressed backup is 1TB, compressed is just 200 GB, but I still need 1 TB of free space for backup to be performed.

In Plesk 12.5 backup data compression is performed during backup, not after or at the end.
