  1. Allow configuring additional storage for Acronis Backup extension users

Acronis allows setting up additional storages for backups https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberCloud/#managing-locations-and-storage.html

Currently, the way Plesk defines integration with Acronis, Acronis extensions users can't do this.

  2. Disaster Recovery Plesk _ Speed Up Backup Restoration procedure with possibility to open multiple process pleskrestore running

Allow the pleskrestore command to be run under different example accounts

    pleskrestore --restore domains1.tar -level clients [<option_N> [<param>]]
    pleskrestore --restore domains2.tar -level clients [<option_N> [<param>]]
    pleskrestore --restore domains3.tar -level clients [<option_N> [<param>]]

in order to obtain more simultaneous processes for the restore and therefore speeding up the recovery procedure of an entire server through plesk backups, in case of emergency.

It is very important to allow you to run multiple simultaneous processes, also because today's CPUs and disks are very powerful and performing, if in case of emergency recovery, 8 restore commands are launched, the recovery process is speeded up…

  3. Keep Static Back up, that can be deleted ONLY manual

Keep Static Back up, that can be deleted ONLY manual. Prevent rotation to delete a specific back up that i decice, so i have a base back up as reference for as long as i need. That will make me feel safe that if the 7 days of rotation that i have to my back up, passed, i still be able to retrive a back up!

  4. Ability to specify globally which files to be excluded in Backup Manager

It should be possible to specify files to be excluded from manual backups globally

  5. Change password type in Backup Settings via CLI

Currently, it is only possible to change this setting via Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > Settings > Backup Security Settings > Password type
In case of deploying multiple servers it becomes very time-consuming, so it would be useful to add the ability to change this setting via CLI

Add capability to select the region when creating S3 Buckets using root account credentials

I tried to change this by modifying extension files but all the files are encrypted.

  8. Change the backup structure so all files and directories regarding one backup are located in one archive

It'd be easier for to have a directory created for each backup instead of having all the files in, for example, /var/lib/psa/dumps/.
For example, I'd like to have a structure like this:
backup_2011300010.tgz that contains all the files and directories for this backup.

  9. Add option to include backups in remote storage into Disk usage statistics

Add option to include backups in remote storage (such as FTP/S3) into Disk usage statistics. For example, it is possible to include backups that were created by administrator and it would be useful to add option to exclude/include backups in remote storage into statistics

  10. Backup/Restore a table or DB to file

Backup / Restore manager is fine, but what if we only want to restore one / several tables, not the whole Database?
Add feature to restore single tables only.

Or even more flexible: add the possibility to restore a DB dump to a file. This file can then be searched / adjusted to restore specific tables only. Once it is adjusted we could load it in the DB / perform the restore.

  11. Purge before restoring feature

If I want to restore all files of a domain because the website has been hacked.... default restoration will simply overwrite existing file.

In the cased of a hacked website, hackers can add suspicious files on the domains and those files won't be remove upon restoration.

It will be great to have an option allowing us to opt for a purge before restoration so that we can completely replace the files, databases, etc. and not simply overwrite existing files.

  12. Add Incremental backups support for Presence Builder

Currently, Presence Builder attachments (for example, images that have been added via Slider module to a domain) ends up in every incremental Plesk backup. Such attachments should not be in incremental backups as they are not being changed, modified, etc before the incremental backup starts.
I suggest adding such a feature for incremental backups support for such Presence Builder files.

  13. Change the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups

At the moment the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups is the following:
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip>
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip1>
    <DateFormateHHMMss.zip2>

This means that volumes .zip1, .zip2 can not be extracted after their downloading because they have an incorrect zip extension format.

The idea to change the extension order of Plesk multi-volume backups to:
    <DateFormateHHMMss>.Zip
    <DateFormateHHMMss>1.Zip
    <DateFormateHHMMss>2.Zip

That the multi-volume backups have the correct zip format and can be extracted.

  14. Allow users to add (dynamic) prefix (e.g. date) to backup filename

Applies to: I'm currently using a paid Dropbox account as an offsite backup, but this is relevant for all (offsite) backups.

What happens: When running full server backups, Plesk currently creates a file called server.domain.tld.tar.

The problem: When scheduling (daily/weekly/monthly) full server backups, the new backup file will have the exact same name as the previous backup file.

The result: When selecting e.g. the 12 latest backups to be saved, Plesk backup manager will display these backups as individual entries, but in reality when using a service like Dropbox to create automated off-site backups, the next backup overwrites the previous…

  15. Adding functionality to restore a non-existing domain or subscription from a server-wide Plesk backup

I suggest adding functionality to restore a domain or subscription from a server-wide backup on the Plesk server, where this domain or subscription is missing (for example, it was deleted before). This is very inconvenient when you have to create a nonexistent subscription, then restore it, and then separately restore the domain in it.

  16. Partial backup removal

It would be useful to be able to remove from a server-wide backup only particular domain's data (such as mailbox accounts) as it will help to manage server's disk space in a more efficient way and store only needed data

  18. Do not store backups restored from a remote backup location(FTP,SFTP)

Currently, restored backups, which have been downloaded from a remote storage, are being stored locally and appear in the backups list and become part of a backup process.
    Expected behavior:
Download, restore & delete downloaded backup files. Remove from the backup list.

  19. Allowing the clients restoring the backups on the remote server via FTPS

Add to Plesk functionality to allow the clients to restore the backups on the remote server via FTPS.
The administrator can create backups and clients can restore their own parts of backups. As how it is done with common backups on local storage
