Custom labels in WP Toolkit
This idea was already mentioned on: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/39722035-custom-labels-in-wp-toolkit-and-additional-filteri
And to give some ideas of what custom labels could be added:
- managed / unmanaged
- notes about who manages the site
- notes about special environments besides production / staging / ...It would be less work to not have to look up these informations for each site and be able to just add a short custom label. For us these labels do not need to be filtered, but it would be a nice-to-have to have this addition like described in the original thread.
35 votesCustom labels are now available in WPT v6.0. Details:
- All labels now require users to input a label text.
- Labels can have different colors (chosen from a predefined palette)
- Labels can be private (visible only to the person who adds the label) or non-private (visible to and manageable by everyone who can access the site in WPT)
- Several private labels (up to five) can be added to a single WP site at once
- Only one non-private label per site can be added
- Existing labels were converted to non-private labels with the same text (their color is a bit different, though)

Allow logins to WordPress while "maintenance" mode is engaged.
Imagine being able to perform actual maintenance, when "maintenance mode" is engaged... Instead, actual maintenance can only be done with a 3rd party extension. Or, consider changing the labeling of "maintenance mode" to "WordPress On/Off" since engaging maintenance mode prevents actual maintenance, prevents logging in, and just shuts down the site.
1 voteThis ability was added to WordPress Toolkit v5.7. You can turn it off in maintenance mode settings, if you wish so.

Hotlink protection Exception
It would be good to have a way to add exceptions to the hotlink protection, so that some images can be available on thid-party resources.
This is especially useful for adding logos to email's headers/signatures.
1 voteWordPress Toolkit v5.7 adds the ability to choose which file extensions should be protected and which domains should be trusted. If these changes do not cover your use-case, please let us know.

Manage Wordpress updates, themes and pluging via CLI
It is only possible to install a new WordPress instance with such options:
https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/cli-linux/using-command-line-utilities/wptoolkit-wordpress-toolkit.78685/For example:
plesk ext wp-toolkit --install -domain-name <domain> -auto-updates true -plugins-auto-updates true -themes-auto-updates trueThe other way is to manage it via Plesk GUI for existing domains:

Add the possibility to define which theme will be set by default after the WordPress installation
For example when we add the required theme into the WordPress set, after the installation the "Twenty Twenty" theme will be set as default.
Please add the possibility to define which theme will be set by default after the WordPress installation as via the CLI method as via Plesk GUI.
The CLI method is important here because some customers use only this method for a WordPress installation.
6 votesWe have released this feature in WPT 5.2 update. You can use GUI or CLI to choose a theme that should be activated upon the installation of a set.
CLI command example: plesk ext wp-toolkit —sets -operation activate-theme -set-id ID -theme-id THEME_ID
If you’re using GUI, go to Sets and click on “+ Add Themes” button next to the corresponding theme.Let us know on our forum (talk.plesk.com) if you encounter any issues.

1 Click install wordpress core files
Hi,
A must have feature would be to have a button to 1 click install wordpress core files.
Lets say you got a wordpress site with wordpress 4.9.
This wordpress got hacked, you got tons of files infected in wordpress core.
In one click wp toolkit can replace all website's cores files with fresh ones. That would help handling with hacked websites in a matter of minutes, instead of doing it manually.
2 votesAbility to verify WP core file checksums and reinstall WP core files was added in WordPress Toolkit v5.6.
Cheers!

Update of paid WordPress plugins via WordPress Toolkit
As you know, WordPress Toolkit can update plugins and themes installed only from WordPress.org. Paid plugins installed from vendors' websites cannot be updated using WordPress Toolkit.
It's not convenient to update plugins from WordPress.org in the WordPress Toolkit and log into WordPress admin dashboard to update paid ones, so please implement this feature.
Especially considering that it's possible to update both free and paid plugins in the WP dashboard (in the menu "Updates").13 votesWordPress Toolkit 4.7 now can update paid plugins & themes, if these updates are available in the WordPress admin area. Note that certain plugins and themes do not support automatic updates, but display notifications about update availability anyway. This particulal scenario isn’t fully supported yet.

WordPress Toolkit: Reseller Plans to use individual sets
A a reseller I would like to be able to create my own specific plug-in 'sets' for my WordPress customers. Normally this should be done at this level, not by the 'top level' administrator.
Maybe it is possible to use the same tab and visualize created sets from resellers with an icon.
70 votesOnce upon a time we have released sets for resellers in WPT v5.2 a couple of minutes ago.
We’ve also managed to ensure that resellers can automatically provision WordPress with one of their sets when a new subscription is created.
Let us know on our forum if you have any feedback.

In WordPress Toolkit Settings, provide an option for default table name prefix
Currently, we can define the default database prefix, but it assigns a random table name prefix, which is confusing to users. I'd like an option to specify the default table name prefix

Ability to permanently remove broken WordPress instances in WordPress Toolkit Installation list
WordPress Instances which are not in used and considered as "broken" should be removable in WordPress Toolkit without changing wp-config.php
7 votesStarting with WordPress Toolkit v5.9.2, permanent detachment is available. Once you detach a site from WordPress Toolkit, it stays detached forever. If you need to make a detached site visible to WordPress Toolkit again, remove the .wp-toolkit-ignore file from the site's home directory and run Scan.

Exclude plugins from auto-update
The auto-update is great, but it is even better to exclude plugins from the auto-update. Some plugins breaks the site or plugins are customized.
30 votesHey everyone, WordPress Toolkit v5.7 adds the ability to configure automatic updates for each individual plugin and theme on a site. This should allow you to exclude any plugins from autoupdates. Site-wide autoupdate policies were also adjusted accordingly.

More descriptive Action Log for WordPress Toolkit
Make Action Log more descriptive for actions such the ones in WordPress Toolkit.
I.E.: Actions are registered like the installation with full information like for example the version of the product however, when it gets updated, the versions are not shown anymore neither initial and final.
8 votesWordPress Toolkit v5.4 now includes site logs for each WordPress installation. These logs contain info about important WordPress Toolkit actions performed on a site, so I’m closing this request as completed.
Note: we still need to add a number of other actions to the log, and this is something we’re already working on in scope of upcoming WPT v5.5 release. A separate interface for viewing log files will also be included.
Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Search & Replace for Wordpress websites
This is highly desirable and basic feature.
When ever user enters "Hosting Settings" and changes the domain, Plesk will detect if a wordpress website is installed, if this domain has wordpress installed - a pop up will show up asking "Would you like to run Search and Replace in the database for the new domain?"User will thick V and confirm.

5 votesStarting with WPT 4.6, WordPress administrators can automatically update their website URL in the WordPress database and wp-config.php file based on the actual current URL. This procedure is particularly useful after migrating a website from a different location like your local workstation. The Update Site URL feature is available in the “hamburger” (context drop-down menu) on a WordPress site card.
If you have feedback on this feature, let us know at our forum (https://talk.plesk.com) or other communication channels.
