On latest Plesk Onyx 17.8 I see that code editor in File Manager colors the code sufficiently and the code is definitely not monochrome.

Like Dreamweaver to specify functions, classes, indentation and all basic tools...........
but what I see is pure notepad which is not suitable for updating code on the fly
