So - I'm unable to upgrade and secure my moodle sites that are hosted in Plex, since you don't offer a solution to upgrade to utf8mb4. This leaves the sites, and my server, open to attack, as I can't upgrade them to the newest moodle versions. Any chance this will change in the near future, or should I move to a different host, that doesn't use Plesk? Thanks.

It's 2020 now and it should be possible to use utf8mb4 as a default for databases.
