Feature Suggestion for Easier Website Migration Process
Dear Plesk Support Team,
I appreciate your response to my recent query. I understand that server-specific issues need to be handled by the hosting provider, but I’d like to take this opportunity to suggest a feature enhancement for Plesk.
During my recent experience, I faced challenges while trying to migrate an old .aspx website from the main domain to a subdomain and shift a WordPress website from a subdomain to the main domain. This process was more complex than expected, and it would be helpful if Plesk could offer a more user-friendly or automated tool for such domain and subdomain migrations, especially for users dealing with different platforms (e.g., .aspx to WordPress).
The ability to handle these transitions seamlessly within the Plesk control panel would significantly improve efficiency for developers managing legacy and modern websites simultaneously.
I hope you’ll consider adding such a feature in future updates.
Thank you for your attention and continued support.
Best regards,

Thank you for your input, Syed. We are sorry to hear you faced difficulties during the migration process. As Plesk is control panel with primary focus on web hosting and server management, introducing a module that will convert a website from one framework/application to another falls out of scope as this is mainly code-related and typically handled by web developers. Still, we would like to hear your feedback on what aspects you found inconvenient and how you would like the overall process to be improved. If you can provide us with precise examples so we can get clear understanding it will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
