Please disable the automatic Alias 301 redirect.. 1st it is the worst idea to do this server level. You should do this on the content level. Not server level!!!
2nd it is bugged as hell. You can't disable it. It keeps active no matter what..
Unfortunately, we have to close your request, because over the years it has not become quite popular for further implementation.

Don't know why you would want a domain alias. They're always bad for SEO

+1 to set it to None by default. Had MAJOR issues while migrating from Plesk 9.

+3 to set it to None by default.
A lot of people can't understand what is going with his site and trying to apply every possible hacks in .htaccess, vhost.conf, virtual hosting templates to just switch off this behavior.

I agree to remove this unwanted behaviour, as by migration yoiu actively change the behaviour of website.
You just change hosting settings without any hint.
In former version of plesk (<11) this feature was not included, so everybody who needs redirects does them in an .htaccess file or a custom vhost.conf.
But now every domain alias has to be unredirected.
I have just migrated a web presence which as about a dozen of aliases. But only one half of them redirect to the main domain, the other half has to be cept because the CMS (TYPO3) hosts multiple web presences and relies opn the correct domain when being called.
So I just wasted two full hours becausae of your #&%$§@ default setting!

When migrating from Plesk version prior to Plesk 11.5, all Domain Aliasses are converted to these '301 Redirects' by default.
This is unwanted behaviour.
We perform a server wide revert of all these new redirects using:
mysql -uadmin -p$(cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow) -D psa -Nse "select name from domain_aliases;" | xargs -i plesk bin domalias -u {} -seo-redirect false
I believe this is what Alex is referring to.
